Advice needed on Speeding Ticket
Well I had a great night tonight except for the fact that I got pulled over. Heres the story. I'm heading back on the highway, I and do a quick run to about 80 mph, slow down to about 75 and there two others cars around me going the same speed. All of a sudden a cop pulls up behind me, and pulls me over, stating I was going 75 in a 55 mph zone. I gave him all the papers, and he issued me a citation. He was so rude, and I was very cooperative.
My question is that I need some advice on weather to pursue this in court or not. He did not even lower the speed, just kept it at 75 mph. I am trying to form arguments along the lines that I was going with the flow of traffic, I'm near my house , (he pulled me 1 exit away from my house). I'm a full time student taking summer classes and I commute to school everyday.
I would really like some advice on what I should do, I'm trying to not have this hit my insurance, I also plan on postponing it once I receive the court date.
Any input would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance

Why should the cop lower the speed written on your ticket, if in fact, you were going that fast? The flow of traffic arguments are pointless, the speed limit posted is the fastest you're legally allowed to go, regardless of how fast the cars around you are going. You just ended up being the "lucky" one to get pulled over. If you have the option of going to traffic school, paying the ticket, and keeping it off your record, I'd go for that option and slow down!

Alright no need to bash on me for the going with the flow of traffic, I would like advice not mockery of my arguments, like I said it just happened yesterday and trying to see what my options are, thanks in advance.

Yeah I guess I might as well pay it, but I have had success when I postponed the court date so thats what I will do, I do have a valid reason for it, I'm taking summer classes and I can just pray that the cop will not show up the second time around, oh well.

In NY it is easier to plead not guilty on the ticket.
And unless you were a real dickhead to the cop they usually will not show up in court and if they miss the court date 3 times the ticket is dismissed.
I have gotten out of a few tickets this way. And if they do show up just say you are guilty and pay the fine + a little on court costs.
I have some e-books on the subject if you PM me.
