Adding acetone to improve fuel mileage?

Acetone is some strong stuff. In small doses I doubt it would hurt anything, but not sure of a 20+mpg savings that he is claiming. Modern FI cars burn gas pretty cleanly nowadays, where I don't see adding a couple of ounces of acetone with affect gas mileage that drasticly.

There is a thread on this in Ramblings too
Here is a post from a guy that tried it on his 92 Integra with insignificant results...

I still might try it, just to see for myself. I'm desperate with premium at $2.60/gallon.

Acetone and Naptha both would be HELL on fuel hoses and seals. I think I will pass.
