one does not buy an acura for speed or muscle car status, one buys it for a nice comfortable daily commute with enough power on hand to get out it's own way when needed

Wow guys, I just realized that my 2006 GTO gets BETTER mileage on the Hwy than the 1976 Toyota Celica that I had 30 years ago.
This means that modern muscle cars get better mileage that economy cars!

Regardless of how the TL performs compared to those old cars the luxury car styling and amenities of the TL-S make it hard to take seriously as a enthusiast's car. TL people in particular talk more about enthusiastic driving than anyone meanwhile they emerse themselves in this roomy, anything other than driving environment. Sure, maybe all the specs are there but it just looks silly. I give it to those old cars on style alone. Even though an RSX is slower than a TL I give their owners props for suffering in that cramped little car for the sake of purity. No XM and heated seats for them.
