Acura sets MSRP for 3.2 TL, Type-S

March 15 -- Acura has priced its 2002 3.2 TL luxury performance sedan at $29,360 and its new Type-S at $31,710. Prices for both cars, which arrive in showrooms Tuesday, include the destination charge.

The 3.2 TL, standard with sport-tuned suspension, Vehicle Stability Assist and 17-inch high-performance tires, is priced $330 - or 1.2 percent - more than last year's version. The sedan was given a facelift and features a new grille, reshaped headlights and redesigned bumper fascia and fog lights.

Both models feature 3.2-liter V-6 engines and a five-speed automatic transmission. The 3.2 TL's engine produces 230 hp. The Type-S produces 260 hp. Standard features on both cars include a six-disc, in-dash CD changer, a two-position memory system for the driver's seat and mirrors, and perforated leather seats.

A satellite-linked Acura Navigation System is available in each car for an additional $2,000.
