Yes, I do agree that they are both mid-sized coupes. I do not agree that they are both sporty coupes. One is, and one isn't.

But whatever...if many of you contend that the first gen TL had good resale, then fine. But that does not negate the fact that Acura has had many vehicles with poor resale, and someone previously stated that Hyundai buyers are "PWNED" since they are buying a Hyundai... I am merely contesting that even some Acura buyers are "PWNED" for buying an Acura.
As are some Infiniti buyers, some BMW buyers, and to a lesser extent some Lexus buyers.

Every make has the occassional model that has less than stellar resale. What's your point. Acura models in general have excellent resale values. Same with BMW, and Infiniti. BUT Hyundai in general has piss poor resale values. I believe that's what Michael Wan was trying to say.

I'm sure Hyundai's resale value situation should improve within the next few years though.

Here is an article that talks about these types of studies (written in 2005). Interesting read since we are on the topic. You can skip down to the second half if you dont feel like reading the whole thing.

Good find. I always take these "initial quality" studies with a grain of salt. I prefer to look at quality and dependability studies based on a 5 or 10 year time frame rather than the first 3 months of a car's life. Not too many things go wrong in 3 months, IMO.
