The one thing I was trying to figure out was the perfromance of the TL-S
0-60 7.6 sec
1/4 16 sec
trapped at 87-88 = They can't drive for shit!!!!

You should see the new Car and Driver.. Well, the TL type S got a 3rd place though..

I would have bought a 330I if the price diff. was about $5K, but not $10K.
If Acura built a CL/TL in the $40K range fully loaded, I am very sure it would perform as well or better than a 330i.
They should compare a 30K Bmw & a 30K Acura, now let's see what the result would be.

The 330i brakes, accelerates, & corners better than a TL in their test. I doubt it about the acceleration part.
- 330i has better braking & cornering, true, reason - TL-S is a larger & heavier car, & fwd.
- TL-S should be compared to the 5series (not M5) for size & weight class. TL-S would out perform the 5-series in all aspects above, maybe not cornering due to FWD layout. Don't forget 5series is $25K+ more.
- but for FWD layout, compare the 3 & 5 series w/ TL & CL in the rain & snow, let's see who wins.
Therefore comparing TL-S & 330i was not a fair comparison.

Why would bmw owners care that the accord would beat them? Thats like saying bmw owners would be pissed about the 26k WRX.. big deal. And I really dont think the new accord can take out the 330ci. IMO but we will see.
There is more to a car than the 1/4...
I dont even know why i try ti make my points.. not like you guys will change your biased minds on this subject.. not like you guys OWNED both cars.
Oh and i also agree that they should compare the 325 to the CLS.

I've driven the 3series quite a few times and it is exemplary but not 10k worth...plus mods 4 that car are xpensive

Agree with everyone on the pricing point. I'm sure that's the reason 90% of the people here bought their CLs. You can't beat the value.
With regard to the c&d article, either their calibration was off, or they were at elevation because those cars were all considerably slower, and proportionately slow compared to other reviews. C&D is usually pretty good about milking their cars.
And yes BMW does lose some of the comparos, there was one a few months back 330i vs g35 and Motor trend went for the cheaper and faster infiniti.
