Long story short as possible I bought a WRX from Acura dealer and also purchased a 2 year Acura Care Warranty. After about 500 miles and less than a week, a noise developed and I took it to Subaru as Acura told me to do and Subaru daid they are going to need to replace the shortblock (among other things there is a lot of metal in the oil).
It has been almost two weeks since I made the claim and they are fighting the Acura dealership and trying to establish it was a preexisting conidtion which the dealership allegedly missed in their inspection and therefore trying to void the claim in saying it should not have been warrantiable and the warranty is therefore void.
There is no way they are going to establish this as the service records and inspection was impeccable and I certainly did not abuse it so it should be covered. My question is how long are they allowed to continue this charade in making a decision? I can't bear them dragging it out any longer and I have run out of people to complain to. Thanks guys!

OH SNAP! What a royal pain. No telling how long this may play out. Hope they resolve this issue soon. Sorry to hear your going through this.

If it continues I would talk to both dealers and threatin legal action, if you can the acura dealer can prove its not a preexisting problem you could get a lawer involved.
