acceleration times?

Anyone know the acceleration times for a stock automatic TL and stock automatic TSX in terms of 1/4 mile. 0-60 and whatever acceleration figures there are. Is there a huge difference in terms of feel? thanks in advance

The TL is faster than the TSX hands down, its a v6 vs. an I4. The TL maybe runs quarter mile in mid to lower 14's to my knowledge, but that may be modded ones.

true, but the tl is also heavier and larger. any idea of what the power to weight ratio is?

According to this site, a 2004 TL's quarter mile time is 14.8 sec. while a 2004 TSX is estimated to be 15.9 sec.... so about 1 sec. slower than a TL.

An automatic TSX is kind of on the slow side. Acceleration is relatively pretty good in higher RPMs but the TL feels much more powerful because of the large difference in torque. The TL weighs ~200 lbs more than a TSX but the J32 plays a big part, around 60 more horsepower but another 70 lb/ft of torque is especially noticeable.

Theoretically, if a TL weighed 200 lbs less but had the same engine, etc. it would finish the 1/4 mile in 14.6 sec. 1 second in considerably faster in terms of the quarter mile.
