99 beetle stalls when I press on the brakes

I installed new pads and rotors on my wifes beetle today. Afterwords, i went for a test drive and had little brake, and the engine also stalled evertime I pressed on the brake pedal.

I was unable to bleed the left rear because the valve was rounded off from the last person who changed them...what should I do?

thanks

That's a pretty odd problem though...

Thanks I already signed up!

I'm thinking when I removed the brake res cap, there is a vac hose connected to it and I may have knocked it lose? Never seen anthing like it!

Vacuum hose could be the problem.

Very well could be vacuum related. Check at the brake pedal in the car as well as the one on the cap.

Good luck with the hunt

Ok so I kinda feel like a dummy now. Basicly I just didnt bleed the brakes enough. The engine stalled when I applied the brake pedal because there was a ton of air in the lines. So I'm guessing the brake booster was working harder.

Yup, that'll do it...

Good thing it's figured out
