91 Notch Back Mustang Rips Dyno Straps!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M9Z8N...feature=autofb

Buddy's mustang, I was recording off his phone, had no idea what to expect, it only make 297rwhp or so, what happened was because the switch was so violent the tires touched the dyno base and got traction which caused the rip, also the 700rwhp Supra that dyno'd right before could have helped with ripping lol.

Yeah I know doing a 1/4 pull on a dyno isn't the brightest Idea, but Mustang dyno's have that option...

Mods on the Mustang-
Springs
Exhaust
6 speed from a GTO unsure what year
LS1 motor swapped in

I thought you were supposed to start off easy on dynos, he looks like he nailed it from the get-go. Either way that's pretty crazy! IMO the hell with straps with cars like these, some heavy construction grade steel rope and hooks seem like a better idea.

Dyno was set on 1/4 pull, so you launch it from the get go, basically just like you'd be running at the track.

He did a good job of getting it shut down quickly. That could've been a lot worse.

Bet his heart was racing though.

that's pretty crazy. I like how that mustang looks, and I have never seen that kind of swap before.

That was the Ford Gods making it known that a SBC should never be transplanted in to a 'Stang.

Yup, wasn't strapped down properly. Sitting too far forward from the center of the rollers as well, I'd think

The guy called the company who makes the straps and they were on re-call so who knows... my friend Vlads Supra made 600rwhp with an issue like 5 pulls before the Mustang went on.
