736-Horsepower Volkswagen Golf

50psi of boost!!
Jesus Christ!

http://jalopnik.com/watch-this-736-h...ar-o-451699750

The Volkswagen GTI is an enthusiast favorite for a lot of reasons. One of the biggest ones is that at the end of the day, it's a Golf. It's comfortable, practical, and it can haul all your stuff as well as ass. But for some people, the moderate power boost in the GTI over the standard Golf just isn't enough. Some people need a Golf with 736 horsepower.

At least, this tuner does. He built a MKI Golf into this tire-shredding beast using a huge turbo running 50 psi worth of boost attached to a 2.0-liter 16V engine, an ECU tune and a host of other goodies. It is, quite simply, insane.
I can't say I approve of the way its owner is running it on a public highway, but I approve of everything else about it. Sometimes a GTI just doesn't cut it, you know?

This is definitely a "don't judge a book by it's cover" scenario.

Hmmm...didn't realize a GTX3582 was capable of making 736whp.

Not trying to be a troll, but I don't see what is so amazing about this car. While it is definitely cool to see this done in a classic MKI GTI, to me it's nothing more than the German equivalent of K-swapping an EG/EK hatch which can easily push more power than that.
