don't just "take the points". you should be able to get to a resolution where you pay a fine, but no points if your record is clean. may require a lawyer -- i'm not familiar with georgia speeding tickets.
in illinois it's close to automatic that you can get court supervision by mail (if you haven't had a ticket in the past year or so).

99% of the time showing up and pleading a deal with the DA is possible and usually results in a reduction of one or the other.

20 over is considered wreckless driving, i know this because im in truck driving school and i had a 23 over 3 years ago that comes off in june, FIGHT IT. talk to the cop before court ask him if you can talk it down to disobeying a traffic control device

I agree with that. Also look at the tickets for options. I went in and in WA, we have what is known as a Deferred sentence. What is means is that I paid a $100 fine and if I did not have any moving violations for a year, that speeding ticket goes away. We in WA can use that out once every 7 years.
First speeding ticket, I got out with the help of a lawyer.
