4wd vs 2wd

i dunno if its just me or is 4wd harder to drive then 2wd in terms of driving standard. when i drive my bmw it needs some balancing of the clutch before i change gears to optimize smoothness. but when i drive my friends jetta or 240sx i can just throw it into gear and pretty much drop the clutch and its still smooth. plus, it seems 2wd is easier to launch. either way i love driving standard but i was wondering if 4wd is harder then 2wd, i read some Motor Trend articels and they were saying the WRX is a little more difficult to drive.

I've never had any difficulty driving AWD or 4WD vehicles. I don't think they're any easier or more difficult then a FWD or RWD car -- they just usually handle a bit different.
