This is truly inspiring. One of my pet peeve is keeping the engine bay clean, I don't know how you do it but I want to make sure I know how for my next ride (hopefully an 09/10 RDX).

Wow, bumped from the dead - thanks guys.
Yeah, the Legend is still moving along, but the ILX 6-speed is my new daily driver. I got a 2013 ILX on June 12, 2012 with 16 miles on the odometer. It has just under 35,000 on it now. It has been every bit as reliable as my Legend so far but we'll see if it has the ability to go the distance.
I blog about my travels in both the ILX and the Legend on my blog called Drive to Five.
I already posted a separate thread with a mileage update here on Acurazine last September when the Legend has 515,000 miles on it.
Since then I've had a few more maintenance items: EGR valve, brake pads & rotors up front (that was the first time the brake rotors had ever been changed). Otherwise I just keep feeding it 91 octane fuel and changing the 5W30 oil every 3,000 miles and it starts up every single time.
This is a picture from last month at a small car show in southern Utah over Easter weekend. She still cleans up pretty nicely! Had the front end resprayed last fall. It was pretty rock chipped.
Definitely!
Thanks
Thanks a bunch!
Indeed I will be driving the Legend across the country in August of this year. I'm taking it on a 4,000 mile round trip drive from Phoenix, Arizona to Asheville, North Carolina for the 9th Annual National Acura Legend Meet (NALM). We should try and meet up while I'm rolling through Nashville!
Haha, the miles accumulate on the Legend much slower now but I still definitely give it plenty of exercise. 3 million would take some time!
Yes yes it is.
Thanks!
Yes, I still have the matching sedan Legend GS 6-speed too. 143,900 miles on that one.
Thanks!!
Haha, no need for that. This thread's been outdated for awhile.
Right on.
It's relatively easy to keep an engine bay clean here in Arizona because our weather's nice. Little bit of dusting every now and then is all it takes to keep up. I use Meguiar's detailing products.
Yes indeed. It's a fun little car to toss around! 2.4 liter and 6-speed pulled from the Civic Si. Nimble handling, 32 mpg, some nice tech features (push button start, back up camera, the whole 9). I'm liking it.
Haha, yup, that's the place!
Lol. No automatics for me! I have driven only manual trans cars since I was 17.
Thanks
