I really agree with you. I love my 12 Tl white, It looks really hot on every angle no exception.
side profile is muscular. I think the proportion is right enough. When I looked at her, I always smile.
Absolutely, 4G exterior is not boring at all. I think it will take long time for me to get tired of it.

Don't get it twisted, we are not defending 4G, it is still one of the ugliest things that Acura ever has produced.

Admittedly, I like how the TLX looks, but not sure if it's better than the 4G.
I absolutely feel the TLX is a downgrade in every other category compared to the 4G TL though. Steering wheel, seats, leather, interior, size, shifter, etc. Literally everything else about it is a downgrade.

Here is the 2018 TLX BTW (before somebody moves it in another section that nobody reads). Some say that it could be a TLX-S because of wheels, nobody knows.

That whole front end looks like a giant after thought. None of the elements work together.

IMO it looks like they took the front of the 2017 MDX and put it on the TLX. Since the MDX is a larger vehicle IMO it works, on the TLX it looks oversized in the pics..
However, the front end on the current TLX, which I happen to like, or the front end of the 18 wouldn't be a deal breaker for me.. The never ending trans issue is what was the dealer breaker for me when we test drove a new 16 last year..

Proportions are waaaay off. Could just be b/c it's a test mule... but if it looks like that pic I'm thinking Acura may want to go out and hire someone to just design front ends... specifically grilles. They're on a losing streak...

Thank you! Thought I was the only one seeing it. As I scrolled the front-end caught my eye and I was like, why is he posting the new MDX in here? Then looked at the rest of the pic and was like, why does the new TLX have an SUV front end?

I personally don't even care for it on the MDX.
