2017 NAIAS picture thread
I was in Detroit for the NAIAS, as I go most years. I live-posted on Instagram. Here are some of my favorite shots from my Instagram stream. They were all taken on my iPhone 6+ with no retouching.
KLF Automotive Destino. These are the Fisker Karmas converted to V8 engines. I'd buy one for the right price...
KLF Automotive Force 1 V10
Volvo V60 Polestar! First time I've seen one.
Lexus LC500
Beautiful Singer 964-series 911, at the Michelin display. This is the "Monaco Commission" with RSR wheels, Öhlins suspension, and an Ed Pink-designed flat 6 engine. I want this one....
The "London Commission Singer 964-series 911, also at the Michelin display. The two Singers were the highlight of the show for me.

Great Clips dragster
Kia GT Stinger. It looks hot in person. Of course, I liked the 2G Optima, so it's not a surprise that I like a dolled up Optima with RWD and extra style elements.
Kia Sorento "Ski Gondola" with my son looking on in disbelief. I thought it was a pretty cool build, myself.
2016 Lemans-winning Ford GT and its Lemans trophy. It looks like they took the dirty car right off the track and just shipped it back to the U.S. It's dirty. a well-driven car.
HUGE Lego Batmobile in the Chevy section. Unspeakably cool.
2017 Chevy Volt. I've thought about getting a cheapo lease on one as a daily driver. The interior, though, is econo-car basic. I could really go without filling up with gas....
NSX GT3!
Cadillac Escala concept. I'd buy one....
Valencia Red NSX 2.0

Acura-related notes from NAIAS:
NO Precision Concept Interior mockup.
NO Precision Concept (yeah, I know they introduced it last year, but still, would've been cool....)
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Acura!
Also, NO free NSX swag this year.
I like the 2017 MDX and the new grille in real life. It's huge, but I like this particular bold statement.

Booooo! I have high-res versions of these photos, that I took with my Canon T4i. I'll have to find some time to resize and upload them to AZ in the near future. I just thought I'd try IG, which makes it so easy to post images directly from an iPhone.

Thanks for posting. That Destino makes me wonder how Fisker could have done against Tesla if they didn't have the issues they had almost from the beginning (ie: cars catching on fire spontaneously). They also had financial problems IIRC. Hindsight being 20/20, an electric and a gas model at the same time might have done the trick. Fiskers were certainly not lacking in looks.

Thanks for the photos Bob! Wow, the Karma with the V8 swap is damn interesting. That car is so polarizing looking in person, and with some serious umph to power it instead of the hybrid, it just makes sense. Dream car.

Thanks for the pics. Love those Singer Porsches. I am sure they looked awesome in person.

If money were no object, I would Singer-ize a 964. There were not that many good premieres at the show, so the Singers and the Stinger GT were the highlights of my visit.

Cool pics! I went this past weekend and agree about the lack of new premieres. Still a fun time though.
