2012 Hyundai Sonata 2.0T Limited
I have a 2012 Hyundai Sonata 2.0T Limited, with all the options (floor mats, trunk mat, rear bumper applique). It currently has ~ 7,3xx miles on the odometer. I currently owe ~ $6K on it.
I'm thinking about switching it out. How much do you think I can get for this vehicle if I trade it in?

I'd say go to carmax to see what kind of price they throw out at you. See how much your gonna lose and decide from there??
Why are getting rid of it so soon?

Just out of curiosity, why trade in so soon?

I know I'm going to take a hit if I do trade it in...the car is a nice car...just not "sporty", which is what I prefer. If I don't get a decent deal on a new car, and a decent trade-in amount, I'm going to keep it for a couple more years.
Is anyone going to throw out any #'s? Is $26-$27K realistic? Optimistic?

Is yours with or without premium package?
Checked around.... local dealers are selling used 2012 Sonata 2.0T Limited models (of which there aren't too many, btw) between $26K (1,500 miles, no premium pack) and $29K (6,900 miles, premium pack).
If yours is without premium pack, don't think you'll get $26-$27K as trade in or private party. If it has premium pack, I'm thinking maybe $25K-$26K trade in and maybe $26K-$27K private party.

Get a WRX or step it up a little bit to STi Sedan. They can be had for like $33k these days. Do you need to install a kid seat for your daughter? I think the backseat is pretty good size too.
What are you trying to get? Budget?
Did you research a lot before you got that Sonata? I don't think I've ever seen your thread before. All the reviews of Sonata Turbo that I've read for the past year were just so-so. The reviewers complained that it wasn't sporty enough.
Weren't you trying to get a GTI or something back then?

I'd take a guess that if he went with a sonata that the interior is important to him so the wrx/sti is a no no.
3 Series? G37, G25?
Actually if you can wait, maybe wait for the new fusion? If its as good as it looks it wont disappoint lol that might be overly optimistic though

Both 3 Series and G37 cost substantially more than Sonata. I was assuming his budget is under $30k.
The only Fusion I will ever buy is the Gillette Fusion.

I'm Korean too. I told my parents to get a Genesis sedan since it's such a great car for its pricing, they both told me to shut up.

I spotted the new 2.0T one yesterday actually. It looks much better in person imo. The front end didn't have that gigantic fog lights, and it cleared up the front much better.

I saw my first 2013 Gen Coupe about 2 weeks ago. Dark Blue....could not see the rear so did not know if it was 2.0T or V6.
Either way it looked very nice. Much better than the current version.
More aggressive looking....more refined looking.

Seriously. I didn't think much highly of it until I spotted one in person. It looks matured.

It was in: https://acurazine.com/forums/car-talk-5/unleash-your-inner-mustang-848714/
I didn't post any details about it, but basically Ford agreed to buy his car back minus a small amount for mileage and depreciation (much better price than resale) and in the meantime he placed an order for the R-Spec, white with red interior 6mt with track package, a few weeks ago. The 'Stang never ran right after the blown engine and in a few instances would cut all power off while cruising at highway speeds.

He's going to love that 3.8 R Spec! The car looks much better than the pre-facelift version.
