How it doesn't get priority is beyond me.

Tech 1: We can unwrap and check out this V10 R8 or this A4...

Tech 2: Man that A4 is hot!

this is just one of those cars that makes you wonder what Honda could've done with the NSX in all those years. In terms of design, performance (doesn't even have to use SH-AWD), halo effect. Audi just really took the the lead with this one.

Did it differ from the R8 interior? I sat in a white/black R8 with the interior CF trim and it was tits. But, then I sat in a F430 Scuderia at the same dealership and was

Nice, but IMO not as nice as a F430 which has far better lines and interior.

Well this was my first time sitting in an Audi R8 at all. I thought the general interior was incredibly well layed out and the quality of the materials to be truly outstanding.

I wouldn't compare it to a Scuderia, that car is completely in an another league, truly comparable to the Carrera GT. There is a local dude who has a yellow stripeless one and it is simply out of this world, both in sound and presence.

Have fun at the launch party, it should be nice although I've been, somehow, underwhelmed by the California.

Love this car.

Needs different wheels, though.

So does it belong to anyone yet?

And IMO I'd take the Audi R8 every time over the F430. Ferrari's are hot, but are just meh to me b/c I see so many of them. The R8 on the other hand is much more unique...

to you, to me it's just a Audi semi-hot/semi-clunky looking sports car. I know folks who feel the same way about the NSX compared to a 911, the Porsche won them over with it's German, tectonic styling and tech. Everyone has their opinions.

The owner at a former company I worked at had a F430, besides great stlying and performance it was also reliable and a decent daily driver. The owner previously has a SL55 AMG which was a nightmare because it spent two months of the first year in the shop or waiting for parts. The F430 has only had regular maintenance.

Looking forward to pics of the 2010 GT3. I <3 the NA 3.8L flat 6 and the PADM (porsche active drivetrain mount) sounds insane.

I'll try get pics at the F-car California launch party tonight. Going clubbing after so not sure if I want to bring my digital camera along.

Yeah I know what you mean. When I see the R8 alone on the street, my neck snaps. But, at the dealership when it's right next to F430s, 599GTBs, Gallardos, and Murcielagos, the R8 seems somewhat mundane. The interior of the Scuderia is so plush with red handstitching against black leather and CF galor.

That's nice to hear about the reliability. After my 911, I wouldn't mind getting into a low mileage Modena even.

There's a 2007 F430 with 4K miles that is a steal (trade in that the dealer is willing to let go at a loss) but unfortunately it's a spyder and fire engine red.
