Very Nice Matt and Congrats on those numbers You must love having that power on tap all the time instead of having to hit the bottle

Just think, between you and Glenn, you guys can start shopping in quantity to get better discounts for the both of you.

Nice car! I was considering the Legacy when it came out, but the wife didn't like it. Oh well!

very nice, do any of those mods affect the warranty? Would the dealer be able to easily notice the change? (the pipes probably, but the reflash?)

What's the weak point with these mods? Adding that much power must stress the tranny, especially if you're looking to add another 10+ of hp and tq.

there are a few people on LegacyGT.com pushing over 300whp. the car comes w/ a reinforced tranny. my friend who builds and races rally car did my spring and up-pipe install and said the drivetrain and suspension looked pretty stout.

this car is like an STi in sheeps clothing.

i raced an STi (slightly modded) and lost by 2-3 car lengths in back to back races from a dig - 100+. he didn't pull on me until he was in 4th i was in 3rd.

I got one question for ya.

Is there anyway to flatten out that torque curve a bit????

With a turbo, your torque should be climbing and peak
when the turbo is done spooling up????
Why is it taking such a huge dip there at the end of your
rpm range?????

Looks like from 4500 rpm to about 6500 rpm, you are losing
about 75 lb-ft of torque!! Thats a lot.

Maybe I just dont understand the subaru engine???

So that was more than one question, but you get the jist!!!
thanks Rolie. the reason why the power band falls off is because the turbo stops being efficient. i've seen graphs of cars w/ upgraded turbos and they still fall off at higher rpm's. maybe someone who knows more about it could step in and explain.

I'm pretty sure I'll go to 18s so I can get bigger brakes, what do you think? Also, I see you did springs, what about struts and sways?

Let me know when you'll be in Portland and we'll hook up.

Glenn(RR)
i think SC TL has the right idea w/ the bilstein struts. i bet they would be awesome.

talk to Jarrad at PDX about sways and end links. he says they make a phenominal difference in the car.

my buddy Barrett over here in Bend said he could do a subaru factory big brake upgrade for ~ $1000. we'll be finding out soon if the factory 17's will fit (for winter), but we think they will.

This is why my next car will be a sport wagon of some sort. Hauling capabiltiy and still have the sport car feel.

i don't want this to be taken the wrong way. i'm very happy w/ the L-GT, it' definately entertaining me as well as getting me around.

i loved my CL-S, even with the problems it had. it was an awesome car and i don't regret owning it at all.

its def the car for you!

matt nice choice in color. did you buy parts from me? i sold to like 3 people didn't know if one was you. i think there are 4 other former cl members i know of that jumped to subie. 2 to the legacy 2 to the sti.

if i wasnt trying to get some tein coilovers from japan i would be enjoying stage 1 or 2 myself. anyways

+1 for the sleeper

i don't miss my cl at all!!! this thing is an animal with the tq curve. i can't wait to mod the engine. i finally get what a turbo is all about.

nothin sounds like a vtec growl with a short ram, but a spooling turbo, grumbling boxter, and being slammed into the seat makes it easy to forget

that would look good and not be too difficult.

i'm trying to find an affordable source of some jdm spats. i'm sure you've noticed how badly this car needs mudflaps of some sort.

i just clean it as much as possible. and wax the front and rear bumpers and the lower side panels. seems to work good. makes keeping them clean much easier. although once i get some 18x8 and some 235s i think its going to get worse, sticky summer tires throw stuff everywhere.
