2005 Legacy GT stage 1

current mod list~

COBB Accessport stage 1 (pdx tuning maps)
PDE up-pipe
STi springs
3M clear bra
20% tint

this car was pretty fun to drive when it was stock. now it's like going for a rollercoaster ride every time i drive it.

here are the gains from the reflash/up-pipe. i'm making as much or more power than a stock STi~

and yes, you can definately feel that 60+ wtq and 40+ whp gain.

pics~

i have a PDE downpipe on order, once it's installed i'll reflash to stage 1.5

that should be good for another 10-20 whp/tq

i'm also planning on ordering a set of 18x8 forged prodrive wheels next week.

Damn. I just re-read it over. +60/40. And I bet @ a fraction of the price it would cost to tune the CL to those #'s.

I've been wondering how this project has been comming along.

The really looks great.

Have you considered clearing and painting the lights like on your CL?

Oh, one more question: How's the dyno work on an AWD car?

i was. it's been like pulling teeth to get this thing where it's at right now. quite a few delays. but it's all worth it now.

thanks.

i'm definately clearing the lights and doing an HID retro fit from VXCL. what color would you paint them?

AWD car = AWD dyno. and just so happens the newest state of the art AWD mustang dyno in the country is right here in my town.

Matt, check the weight of the prodrive wheels first. I believe their wheels are fairly heavy.

Check out some Rotas they make a bunch of subie wheels.

Matt, LOOKING GOOD!!!!

Wait till Red Rider sees this!!!!

You guys will be salt n peppa.

I got one question for ya.

Is there anyway to flatten out that torque curve a bit????

With a turbo, your torque should be climbing and peak
when the turbo is done spooling up????
Why is it taking such a huge dip there at the end of your
rpm range?????

Looks like from 4500 rpm to about 6500 rpm, you are losing
about 75 lb-ft of torque!! Thats a lot.

Maybe I just dont understand the subaru engine???

So that was more than one question, but you get the jist!!!

Awesome Matt!!

I can't wait to get started, I just want to drive mine stock for a bit and get the feel for AWD before I add any more power.

I'm pretty sure I'll go to 18s so I can get bigger brakes, what do you think? Also, I see you did springs, what about struts and sways?

Let me know when you'll be in Portland and we'll hook up.

Beautiful car Matt. I'm honestly thinking about going for the Legacy GT, but I don't know if it's the car for me. Either way, the car's looking very good.
