1995 Honda Del Sol S

Recently come across the problem of my car dieing after starting it drops below 1k rpms, I have to give it a lot of gas to get it to go. before this problem I had a problem with the temp gauge showing hot as I'm driving. Think this might be because of my IAC valve because when Idling my rpms just from 800-1200 rpms the whole time till I put it in gear.
