Looking good, that old school CB750 motor brings back memories. My uncle had a CB450 and CB750 , both 4 cylinders. Those pistons look gigantic compared to the modern slipper type pistons on today's sportbikes. Keep up the great work.

Are you going to add a oil cooler?

i will get it all out this afternoon and take a picture.

wetsanded with 500-1200
then used about 2 levels of rouge on my grinder/polishing wheel
then just a final shine polish to clean it all up

it takes a whole lot of sanding and polishing.

LOL! I know nothing about all this and this is all Chinese to me...

Is the sandpaper 500-1200

What does 2 levels of rouge mean?

With ALOT of luck, I am hoping to pick up a 78 Honda 400F

tapped the frame to fit the oil tank bolts.

welded the brackets and bolts for the regulator.

gas tank mounted.

polishes come in different levels. red is rougher and then white is more of a final shine polish. google has many tips and such for polishing metals. if it is really rough metal you will need the sand paper to get it smooth and then polish it out to a shine.

what a weekend of progress!
i finally came up with the seat mounting design and got started. 1/4" T nuts fiberglassed into the seat. allen head bolts will go in from underneath.

gas tank was stripped of years of old paint. mmmm bare metal!

more polishing. to give you an idea of time this is about 20 minutes of work with the tight weave pad and black heavy rouge.

the paint is complete and curing for the next 7 days.

tomorrow the frame, lower triple, oil tank and kick all go to the powder coater!
