Ahh... I remember you mentioning the WR's when I was asking about tires...

I'll probably use those for "winter" tires if I ever get back into a rwd deal...

So any new news to report about the G35 tireguy? Any rattles or other annoyances on the G35 like the TSX had?

I turned 4100 miles today and have zero problems, rattles or complaints other then the small issues I've already mentioned. Fuel economy is getting better, even in the dead of winter, with a winter fuel mix, I am getting around 21mpg, by spring I suspect I will be up to 22 maybe 23 and I will be a happy camper.

I have a new found respect for AT's, the transmission in this car is superb, the more I drive it the more I like it. Sport mode is great, the regular mode is good and while I am not a huge fan of the manual shift mode, it does a good job for what it is.

Does the standard screen in the G35 show mpg there or you did your own calculation? If you are getting 21mpg from a VQ V6 306 hp car that's good! In the TSX right now I'm only getting 21.6-22.0 mpg from what the TSX trip computer says in the navi, which sucks for a 4 cylinder! How is this possible and I don't even have a lead foot.

It calculates the fuel economy for you and I verify it, there is also a log that tracks I think the last 10 resets of the fuel economy, so you can see if there is a huge change from tank to tank if you reset it when you fill up. I am not quite getting 21, the best I've done on a tank is 20.9, so its pretty close.

On my TSX I typically got 28-29

Wow, Tireguy, you log about the same yearly mileage I do. At first I thought "Only two months ago to the day he had 1000, now over 4000?!, Then I relaized that's about 18k per year, which is what I do. I've had my 06 G35 for 28 days, and I've put about 730 miles on it; that's unusually low for me. But I looooove the car so far; I couldn't have gotten an 07 for the deal I got, but I know you got a great car.

so far, I too am averaging about 20mpg.

I typically do 12-15k a year, but work has had me on the go a lot lately, I have a few large development projects in the works and they are 40ish miles apart so going back and forth adds up. Since a lot of it is work miles, and I have no "office" I get to deduct them, so that helps.

It is scary how quickly the miles are going on, since I was an early 07 G35 owner and I've been driving a lot I probably have just about the most miles out of all 07 owners, at least in the top 10.

Glad to hear that you've been very happy with your X so far. I have almost 2200 KMs on my Sport now and I have been nothing but ecstatic about the car. The only issue that I have run into is that it has mysteriously deleted my voice tags. This has happened to a few other owners as well so I am sure there will be a TSB issued at some point.

Up until I got my first G35, I always drove a manual. I switched to a 5AT in my 03 G because I got married and my wife cannot drive a stick. I got the 5AT in the 07 and I must say that it is such big improvement over the 03. The paddle shifters are extremely quick and I LOVE DS mode.

Sounds like a great car!! It is nice to hear that your gas mileage seems to be getting a little better too. I still need to go test a G35 and a TL-S. Don't want to get my hopes up until I am sure my wife wants my current car!

What are the residuals on the 2007 G35s? The early model year coupes did VERY well but the sedan didn't... Are they doing better with the redesign?

Not nearly as well as the coupe, though. I got top dollar for my 03 coupe when I traded it.
