'06 infinity g35 for $28k-good deal?!
I may be looking to get rid of the CL-S, and I have read very good things about the infinity G35. I contacted a dealer here in California, and he says he has an 06 base model for $28k plus TTL. Does this seem like a really good deal to anyone else but me? does anyone have an opinion about the 06, and should I wait until the 07 comes out?

I personally think that the 03-04 G sedans looks dated. However, the updated sedan for 05 and 06 looks very nice and does not look dated at all. When i see an 03 compared to an 06 on the road, it seems like night and day in the looks department. I'd say thats a good deal.

I'm usually a speling/grammar Nazi, but I figured I'd cut him some slack. Had he been doing SERIOUS research, he'd have known the correct spelling by now. Perhaps he's just tire-kicking for the moment.

yeah, just tire kicking. still, 28k seems like a good deal to me. let's wait and see... maybe when the '07 comes out there will be further discounts on the '06 models.

Why do people misspell Infiniti? One of my biggest internet pet peeves. People who intend to buy, people who claim to own one...

if you can get a 06 G35 for 28k... GO FOR IT!!!! it s almost a steal if the condition is good.
it has one of the best best resale value. i saw a 05!!! G35C loaded USED at the dealer and they r asking for 38k.... and a fully loaded BRAND NEW 06 is 39k...

Problem is they're saying it's a "base" model. Don't know if that includes leather, certainly no Nav or performance suspension. Also resale will suffer once the new one is release in a few months, especially is his is "stripped, not equppied"

base 06 comes with leather, hid. If it was 6mt. alot of the stuff are standard. 19" forged rims and sport suspension.
Premium comes with whole bunch of useless shit. but again 28k is still a good deal assume it is a COUPE.

I agree the 05/06 looks better but its hardly night and day.
And I'd wait for the 07. The G35 Sedan looked dated to me 3 months after its release.

I think that the G35c 6mt MSRP is $32K or so...

Base Model depreciates slower than the fully loaded ones. And also, to the regular driver, its still a G35 (most people usually dont know or do not care if it has Navi, leather, or DVD system, etc).
Like Buying a Cayenne Base 6-speed for $45k. Your car is still a Cayenne, which tops over $110K for the Turbo S. Still a Cayenne.

33xxx is base msrp for g35c 6mt... auto is cheaper
Sunroof is part of premium but it is also a stand-along option. you can get a sunroof without getting premium package.

But they don't do it the other way... I want navi WITHOUT the sunroof
I don't understand why some companies don't offer "sunroof delete" options. The new mustang has a "spoiler delete" option...
I understand why the premium package is required to get navi, but don't understand why the sunroof has to be bundled in the deal...
If I could have ordered my CLS w/o a sunroof, I would have...

^^ Sunroof is usually bundled into a premium package in order to rise their profits. A sunroof should not cost them more than $150, but its an $800 option embedded in the premium package bundle. That's why I prefer buying the base models as that diminishes the manufacturer's (and dealer's) marginal profits, not to mention that they hate selling these as they are used for bait & switch strategy.

Yah i know what you saying. I like individual options better too. So you can build exactly what you want.. but the reality is you cant have everything u want.

Zamo got it right... It's always about the bottom line...
I really wish you could option out cars "a la cart"... but that's just not they way it works...
A base G35c 6MT (no sunroof, no preimum, no navi) would work for me...

I had my last car for about 8 years, and I'm happy not having to make car payments right now
If I were looking at the cars that are out there now, the G35c, Mustang, and Legacy GT would probably be on the top of my list tho...
With my CLS, I know a new one won't be coming out any time soon, but with the G35c coming out next year
