06 Civic..$8500

long story short the car is financed with Honda Financial. he owes about 13,000 and the miles on the car are 36k and its the EX model. hes willing to sell it to me for $8500 because thats what the dealer offered him. only if we can put the car on my name and he pays the difference out of pocket. is it worth at this price? he pays about 400 a month and cant afford to keep the car anymore and he also he doesnt really driver it...he put 10k mile in two years on the car

the last part of the paragraph is pretty much gibberish.

is it worth the price? probably not. seems too low to me.

ok so he can't afford $400 a month for the car but can come up with $4500 to sell you the car?

Its not about $400 payment. Its about $13000 he still owes on it. So he basically wants OP to buy it from him for $4500 + $8500 from OP to finance company = $13000 or something like that...

alot of people seemed to be confused lol.. forget the 400 a month.. thing is he doesn't really need a car and makes no sense for him to pay off the 13,000 loan. and from his point he would rather loose the 4,500 than 13,000 : )
