03 Mustang SVT 6 spd @ Acura Dlr
I stopped by Rick Case Acura (where I am now drinking his capuccino and using his computer).
He has this gorgeous (if that's your thing) black 2003 Mustang SVT, 6 speed, with only 8k miles on it. They are asking $25k.
The girl traded it in on a new TL-S. (Moving up in the world )
It's a creampuff.
Hmm. I could probably trade straight up for my TL with 12k miles. Naw.

New mustangs are too sexy to ever spend a penny on last gen, especially 25K (price of a new GT).
Cars not worth having if one doesn't like the way it looks IMO, and I personally don't care for the last gen.

I've seen that car for sale. I was there during the week to pickup some parts. It does look good.
My grandma has a yellow 2002 V6 auto. The thing is really slow, but hasn't had a problem.
It's got 25K miles on it. So 8K is not unheard of down here.
I would not trade an Acura for even a SVT. The fact is the last gen mustang was just a brute force bare bones straight line fast car. The Acura has so much more going for it.
I do like the new body style though. And I would get a GT in white on black only. I have looked at them, & specifically I would get the CS edition.

You are mistaken........
I would rather have a mint 03-04 Cobra over ANY new Acura assuming either was free. Hell if they rolled a brand new out of the factory right now I would fight someone over it. Any new Acura.... meh.
SVTs are more purpose-built than the regular models. The SVT Cobra especially is far, far from a "brute force bare bones straight line fast car" although calling it a brute force fast car would be pretty accurate. An SVT Cobra would probably destroy anything short of an NSX-R in a straight line or a road course.

Both of us are a different demographic though... personally I went from a daily driving an 03 TL-S to owning an 02 Camaro Z28 and I never looked back.

COME AT ME BRO!
I had something funny happen to me a local ford dealer last summer. We had just picked up Coconut Point Ford. (for on sight minor paint and body work) One of the salesman had a semi new 07 foose edition mustang. He walked up to me and my coworker and asked us if we wanted to buy his "custom" painted mustang for $55k!!!. We (my coworker and I) both laughed in his face. My coworker said "um that's not custom paint, they come from the factory like that. As you can see there are 4 BRAND NEW foose mustangs being offloaded right now, and they are only $25-26k new according to the sticker." All four of them had the same paint job the salesman's car has, just different colors. He then walked away with his head down. I mean the stupidity of some people is just amazing. To think you can pull off something like to PAINTERS is so ridiculous, it's funny.
Sorry for the , but your story just made me think of it.

You should write to some of the magazines that had negative comments about its styling as well, Mr.e-tough guy.
But since you seem to care so much about what all those pony car lovers think why don't you go back over there. I'm sure they could use someone new to be the cookie in the center of their circle jerk.

Mazda3 and Honda Civic in
I would rather have an 03/04 Cobra than a 05/up s197........I like both both something about the cobras just do it for me...Hopefully I can have one soon

And for the record I think both the 4th and 5th generation Mustangs look great, but the "New Edge" facelift of the 4th gen looks way better than the 1994 SN95. The 2001 Cobra front looks better than the 03-04 Cobra front, to me. The 5th generation is the best looking one yet though, loved the 69-70 Boss Mustangs.
Still, I would rather have an 03-04 Cobra, but an 05+ GT would be a better daily driver. They finally changed the interior after like 10 years.
