03 Accord V6 coupe (6spd) or 02 RSX-S
I like both of these cars. It would be my daily driver and my commute is 100 miles a day for work (dropping to 50 a day soon once I move) so comfort is a little factor. I've driven the Accord most recently and the RSX-S a long time ago so from that I'm thinking the Accord is a better daily driver and commuter but the RSX is more fun and maybe get a little better mileage as long as I keep the redline runs down. What is your guys take on this? I like the extra room in the Accord for hauling people but I wouldn't mind not being the driver for all my friends everytime anymore with the RSX

I think both are excellent choices. I have never driven an RSX-S, but understand its a fantastic car with great handling capabilities. I have, however, owned an 05' Accord coupe six-speed for the last 18 months. I've accumulated only 9000 kilometers during this time, but have found the car to be very enjoyable. I would imagine the 03' six speed to have the same seventeen inch wheels, strut bar, front brembos, and slightly different suspension calibration as the 05' model. Much of this equipment is now found on the 06' Accord V6.
My only complaint thus far is the lack of headroom. Other than that I find it very comfortable. The 240 hp (244 in 06') is quite sufficient, and the car gets relatively good mileage. As per the exact figures I am not sure as I've never made the calculations. The six speed itself is very enjoyable to shift and I've found the entire powertrain to be very smooth and linear.
I would imagine the RSX-S would be more of a nimbler handler and most likely somewhat better on fuel. I would probably expect the RSX to be a little more sporting in nature while the six speed Accord more of a GT tourer. It all depends on your interests, but either way you can't go wrong.

I have the '02 RSX-S, and I commute 20 miles daily to work. 20 miles, no big deal. However, I sometimes have to go 50-90 miles on the weekends. I am a broken man after such journeys. Backache, migraines, tinnitus, you name it. Keep in mind that I am 23 too. Test drive it on a freeway before you decide to live with it -- I'm sure Honda took out some soundproofing to keep weight down.
Redline excursions are almost unavoidable. You will want to flog this thing, and it will beg you to flog it. It's about as fast as my old '90 accord under 3000 rpms, but you won't be there much anyway. Even so, I still get 30 mpg. Dunno how.
Check the service bulletins for both (the RSX has another major forum which is a good resource for these things.) Main issues (for me): grinding when going into 2nd gear; crummy leather that cracks, especially if the last owner didn't condition it regularly; and no place to put the gas cap when you're filling up.
Again, test drive, especially on the freeway.
