02 Accord vs. 04 TL
What's up guys. I was reading a thread where this guy said he walked a 04 TL with his 02 Accord (V6). Last time I checked, the 02 Accords only had 200hp and was a 4 speed auto

Sounds unlikley, but anythings possible with mods. You may want to guage reaction over at our sister site www.acura-tl.com/forums

Well considering it was a v6, auto is standard and that torque converter will suck power out of any mods. Can't remember what mag it was, but they had the supercharged v6 accord for a test, and the auto sucked the life out of it making it marginally faster than stock and the costs absolutely rediculous compared to an rsxS.

Shows from motor trend they got 7.4 0-60 from a 2002 accord v6..
HOWEVER I found this below.. and its a head to head of a 2003 Accord and 2004 TL head to head under the same conditions.. So even with 40 more horse its almost a second behind 0-60.
found this too http://www.vtec.net/forums/one-messa...sage_id=208733
But you did not say how fast they raced up to, depending on how well they know how to drive, if one was dicking around with sport shift etc etc, how much gas was in each car, how much each driver weighed, blah blah blah if the 02 accord was modded it would be a good race but I still dont buy it "walking all over" a TL.

I have a 03 Accord V6 and an 04 TL. I completed a set of formal tests at the Englishtown, NJ racetrack to provide accuracy and authenticty to the results. The results are as follows:
03 Accord V6 Automatic
0-60 6.79 seconds
0-100 14.98 seconds
1/4 mile 14.57 sec @ 95.3 mph
04 Acura TL Automatic
0-60 6.02 seconds traction limited
0-100 14.21 seconds
1/4 mile 14.12 sec @ 99.62 mph
Both cars performed better in additional testing after installing a K&N replacement filter but no formal results are available as of today.
