To re-build....NO.

To strip and sell for parts....maybe. It seems like the airbags are intact. The interior seems to be in good shape. And the rear body is OK. Maybe you cna make a couple bucks on parts.

I have offered the insurance $1200, and if they accept i'll get it and try to fix it back up, I hope it will be back to about 50% or more to normal driving...
and thank you for your input.

No...

And when you're done with it, nobody is going to buy it from you since it'll have a salvage title...

Oh, the CL forum is over here: https://acurazine.com/forums/acurazine-1/

I got 8k on mine as a trade in, probably could have gotten 10 on a private sale, but with that salvage title, I wouldn't invest the money unless you plan to drive it until it dies. But you could probably just buy one for 10g's or less from a dealer.

btw, if you wanted to go through the hassle, you could easily make money parting out this car. Wheels - 400-500
Engine - 2K
Headlights - 200
Interior - 500-1000

etc, etc

I spoke with the insurance people and they ve agreed to let it go for $1350, & since i had about 2K wondering I decided to approved the buy...i'll try to fix it...I have guys here who will work on it...i'll post progress!...Keep on visiting!...I couldnt let this car go!....

give me another 3weeks!...
Thanks,
R.

I've seen people get cars in waaay worst condition for more money.

Good luck with the restoration!

...and hey, if it goes over what the car is worth you can always chaulk it up as a project. Projects are priceless.

since you are gonna fix it... why dont you try to do a 6 speed conversion while you are at it. so you dont have to worry about the POS auto tranny

even if it doesn't work out, you can probably recover your losses from the airbags alone.

wonder if it's still eligible for the 100k warranty on the tranny, even after the salvage... I don't see why not.
