I'll get some pics up later, didn't get any yet.
When I have the extra $$ for it, I'm going to get the RE 3.5" shortarm kit. The price I got quoted at the shop was a lot cheaper than anywhere I've seen it online... so definitely check with local places first before you order.

Was the price you got quoted locally an installed price or DIY? Cause if it's installed, I may just do that... maybe. I kind of want to do it myself. The 4.5 Rusty's was running about $560 if my memory serves me correctly. Found the RE for a little less though.

Ouch, $250 for the lift install! I think I'll do it myself as planned. Besides, it's a good way for me to learn my way around the thing.

After the broken fuel pump ($160), beer ($40), tools ($60), and about 4 hours of my life spent trying to put on a simple gas tank skid, $250 to me sounds like a deal for the lift
Although if I had the tools, knowledge, and a good setup, I'd rather do it myself also.
and yeah that guy is great....he's about to have a heart attack because the pope said something he didn't agree with

Lookin' good Beet! That gas tank skid looks pretty stout. I like the sliders and the lights too.
Sribesoft, nice Jeep. Ever get it offroad?
o2cls, you need to quit messing around and get with the program already!

Well since this is the official jeep thread ill chime in. You guys have some really nice rides.
2004 Rubicon, bone stock and 1974 Scout II, bone stock
1975 CJ5, Headers, Exhaust.(This thing sounds like a Harley)
My parents live in the Gunnison National Forest, so thats where we do most of our offroading. The Taylor Park area and the Crested Butte area are ALOT of fun.

Can anyone tell me why I shouldn't consider these?

These sealed beam headlights suck! I miss my HID's and want to get as much output as I can. I would think that this would put out a lot more light. Anybody wanna put in their before I pull the trigger?
PS: I could upgrade the bulbs to PIAA's which might help too.

I got new wheels today!
Went to Performance Wheel & Tire and traded sets with them. I ended up paying $206 installed and out the door. My factory ones were 15x7 I think but these are 15x8 Jeep "Ravines". I think they come stock on some Wrangler Unlimited's. These aren't the ones I originally wanted but after browsing some pics of lifted Cherokees with these wheels, I had to have them. I also had them flip the white letters to the outside as I like that look better on a Jeep.
What do you think? I think it looks 100x's better.
Just for fun...
I'm such a picture whore!
On another note I got my XM tuner installed last night too. It's good to have it back, I missed it.

Thanks Diego!
Meh, I'm not worried about that... The tailpipe might need to be changed depending on what type of lift I do. If I do a shackle boost in the rear I'll need to move it over anyway. Otherwise it will hit the rear shackle when the rear end flexes.

the brackets used to attach the end links to the leaf plates are prefect for bar pin eliminators.

Rusty was sitting at the dealership since I got teh Jeep till just now. I left it there to rot... Actually, it's getting a for sale sign and a craigslist add here within the next couple of days.
deke, yeah, I plan to lose the sway bars all together here pretty soon.

Couple of different sites I day dream on.....

I've done most of these trails with my Dad. Did Black Bear last time, about a year ago in a rental..shhhhhhhhhhh
Odd how all my attention has suddenly been wrapped around Jeeps after L. Helmet got his. I always knew I would get another one after I sold my first.

I hated not having mirrors with the doors off, so I got these mirror relocation brackets. Do they look stupid?
I'm not crazy about em...I think they might look better with some old school steel mirrors instead of these bulky plastic things.
