Well, the k-sports come with the car, along with the wheels, tires, and ACT clutch. I didn't research the coliovers. I don't mind if they are stiff or if they are soft, I just hope they are reliable, but after spending some time on google, I found a few articles about the k-spots blowing out in a year or even less. This sucks, I guess I need to start saving up for some Teins or Tanabes.

Not with the car the way it is now. Stock KA would have a helluva time trying to keep the tires spooled up not to mention the differential isn't limited slip or welded. I'll just be messing around on some corners while going to school is all.

I'm planning on painting my hood this week, and order some tires for my meisters!

I will post some pics once I get all the stuff done.

Meisters are so sick man! Yeah, I'd like to see your car when you finish up.

So how long did it take for the K-Sports to fail you?

Just for the books, this car is by no mean being built to be the baddest 240. I just want it to look good, handle good, and give me fun, reliable transportation over the next two years. When I finish up my BA degree, I want do one of four things...

Turbo the KA
SR swap
RB swap
LS1 Swap

I'm leaning toward either SR or KA-Turbo.

The pros to an SR, IMHO, are instant turbo set-up once swap is complete. A more performance oriented engine, and the JDM appeal.

The cons are, IMHO, the parts for the SR would be harder to obtain as well as being more expensive.

The pros to the KA, IMHO... Cheap parts, KAs are everywhere, more torque.

The cons are, IMHO... Can't be built as well as the SR, it's a truck motor.

As far as the LS1 goes...

Good = Torque, Torque, Torque

Bad = A domestic small block V8 sounds weird in a Nissan. Issues I've heard about the V8 bending the body, over time, because of the torque.

Finally, the RB...

Good = It's an I6 and can fit rather nicely in the engine bay and make massive amounts of power. Sounds so nice.

Bad = Wiring seems to be a real bitch, JDM engine = JDM prices for broken parts.

These are the exact wheels and tires I will be getting. My friends upgrading to five lug and I'm getting this set up straight from him...

Tires = BF Goodrich g-Force KDW with over 80% tread all around.
Wheels = staggered Sport Max 962

One day I want to pick up a 240 as a project car. They're too cool. This is an interesting thread. Best of luck on your build.

i would go LS1 swap... SR swaps are too common to me... be more original... and you will f'in smoke anything that comes by with that V8... who care how it sounds, you will be a mile away...

LS1s aren't common as SRs or RBs, but I won't really call LS as original. I seen plently of people w/ LS swap already.

Update! Update!

Here's what happened today...

First: We installed gas shocks so the hatch stays open without a broom stick. Took the picture before we adjusted and leveled out the hatch so that it is flush with the body.

Second: We installed the brake booster and master cylinder along with calipers and rotors.

Notice the S14?

Third: We installed the differential and axles.

Fourth: We picked up the head from the machine shop and it was OHHH SOOO smooth!

Fifth: We bolted the head to the KA24DE block. (Alfa Romeo roadster in background.)

Tomorrow we plan on installing the cams, chains, and all of the engine accessories. Also going to install the driveshaft and hopefully get to the front coilovers.

Thanks for the compliments. UPS just delivered the short throw shifter and cheap-o eBay air intake. All I need now is to either go to the pick and pull and find an exhaust system and manifold or order a system and headers. If I order a system, this is what I'll probably get:

Buddy Club Spec II

stillhere- That Integra looks nice, I wish my car was in that good of shape!
