$4500 for a 94 Legend -
If I lived closer, i would certainly go and take a look - https://tampa.craigslist.org/hil/cto...821339324.html
Only 78K on the odometer and looks like it's in good shape. |
meh. automatic...
I think there are better used cars for $5k than that. But i guess it all depends on what you're looking for in a vehicle... I cant say that any one wants the Legend... especially at that price. But VERY cool find, nonetheless! |
Just goes back to the beginning (almost) of the Acura line............
|
yeah, it has to find the right owner... Tyson???
|
Could be - I couldn't remember his name but was thinking the same.
|
I had to reach far far back into my Memory bank
|
Funny thing, that car is a smokin' deal compared to this one (1988 Accord Coupe, 75,000 for $4,400):
|
Both are awesome old little cars!!
|
The Accord is a good looking car as well. Incredibly low mileage. Needs to be cleaned up a little on the inside - but a nice car nonetheless!!

Probably would be as I'm sure it has small narrow tires. Just noticing no AC that I can see on the dash. Back in 88 when I was looking to buy a new car I was all over a new Acura Integra up until I found out that both AC and a radio were dealer installed options and drove the price up another $1800. The radio I could have done myself, but it was a brand new car. The AC was a different story.

Personally, I was thinking to buy the Accord and use it for winter duty and save the TL from the rigors of New England salt. |
I understand the tariff piece but not the competing portion as this WAS an Acura. In hindsight, I should have bought the Integra, but as a recent college graduate - $1800 was a lot of $$$.
Would be a fun car to have for the Winter, but also cost you some incremental funds to get it from CO to NH. |
Easy enough on the transport; my son lives in Denver; good reason for a visit and a quick road trip. :)
Edit: I drove a bunch of his stuff out there around Thanksgiving in the TL (loaded to the gills and with both a mountain bike and big pack on the roof). The trip is two long-assed days or three easy days. |
Absolutely!!

Good looking Legend. Being an 'L' model and automatic really hurt the value, but i could see someone paying around 2-3k due to the mileage.
|
That is a nice Legend! Someone sure did take good care of it.
|
The '88 Accord is a DX model, so no A/C from the factory. Also, no power windows, power door locks or power mirrors.
I had an '88 LX. The A/C worked but not too well. |

Agreed. I was thinking if I were to buy that car I'd do a B20A swap (bolt in swap); this engine should make that 2,400 pound car quite a bit of fun to drive. :)

I've always liked the Legend (who doesn't).. Back in the late 80's my uncle bought an 89 new, then he traded it years later for a 94 or 95 green GS sedan, I think it was called Sherwood Green, that was gorgeous..
