$23k sound system & $21k rims?
I was browsing craigslist and found this add; http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/cto/1315856902.html
"Unique opportunity to own a one of a kind 25K mile 2005 Volvo XC90. This local Eastside car has $60K in the finest and most tastefully appointed custom upgrades. From the best $21K Alpine Entertainment DVD Navigation System to the $23K HRE 945R Forged 3 piece 20" wheels and Perelli tires. Two matching sets for summer and winter. Over $10K was spent on the Evolve 900 Racing Series brakes to set the wheels off. There is also a Raytheon Infrared Night Vison installed $6K. A very tastefully done look and a must see.
On top of all of the custom upgrades is every available factory upgrade - twin turbo engine - leather seating - park assist bumpers - rear camera - front and rear A/C - traction control - heated seats and winter package - Volvo factory tow package - paint and interior protection package - ect.
No disappointments with this $110,000.00 vehicle. With only 25K miles it truly looks and drives like the day it left the showroom floor, and has been meticulously maintained. No accidents - dents - scratches - rips - stains - ect. This car has spent it's life in a heated garage among 9 other cars.
The person behind the car comes from old money with no children. Yours will be the first to step foot in this SUV. The third row of seating has never been used.
Because of the expense of the wheels one set is a negotiable item in the sale.
Car comes with all invoices and sales receipts."
Who in the world buys $21k rims? $23k sound system? are you kidding me! Can this be truth?

Could be. There is no doubt that custom items can add up in cost, however, I am skeptical about the seller's claims.
I would indeed ask for documentation regarding the claims he makes. I would also investigate them myself and not just take the receipt for face value, as a receipt can be fabricated.

Someday, an RS6 Avant+
Is this guy saying he wants $110K for a 2005 Volvo XC90? He's on crack thinking someone will pay that for a 2005, even if it had 10 miles on it.
I love HRE wheels, but those look wrong, and the wrong size

galore.
The wheels aren't that outstanding, and aren't big at all.
$10k on the brake system? I still see stock rotors. Uh-huh.
I would love to see the guy who pays for this.

what an idiot. How can you get mods for your car and not know how to spell them? Perelli tires? Evolve brakes? and why the fuck would you buy an SUV with 3 rows to not use all of the seats? I call bs
That is an Evolv BBK I believe.... but I can't figure out why for the life of me you would want a BBK for an SUV. Just to fill in the wheel gap in the barrels?

The brakes definitely say "Evolve" not "Evolv", I can see an E on the end.

Actually 'Evolv' is 'Evolve'. And the BBK does use the same rotors as on the CL ad.

I must have been on crack.... that's what I get for posting at work after zoning out listening to a customer for what seemed like days.

20" HRE wheels are $2000 apiece, which equals $16K....say $17,500 with tax and shipping.
So that's $5,500 for tires then?
Er, no. Figure @ $2500 for all 8.
Conclusion - Either the ad poster is a little free with the truth, or the owner got absolutely fleeced by his custom shop. My guess is the latter.

Obviously it's some sleazy ass broker trying to hit a home run on some less than informed person. It's a $110k car! No wait, it's a $60k car! No wait, ONLY $28,995 FOR THIS "MINT" RIDE!
For an 05 XC90 with 25k I'm sure that's still a rip off.
