Tien ss dont work with EDFC you have to have the TIEN SS-P
the one with the pillowtops or else there is nothin to connect the edfc to

the edfc screws onto the top of the piston rod. it works with both ss and ss-p just not the basics due to the fact those are only height adjustable.

ive 'investigated' the sleeves + shocks combo but most people seem to not had great experiences. it would be a tad cheaper depending on which sleeves and shocks you got but ground control + konis put me close to where SS pricing is.

i ordered SS last week

i got a local guy to match some pricing i did at 850. i figured i'd support my local community and shit. what you may want to do is go and have a look at tein's SPECTACULAR website and look for vendors in your zone. then try and work with them on price as they probably will.

the only thing that got me about the teins vs the koni or tokico's was the warranty. tein said they expect the ss models to last around 50-70k on average but a lifetime warranty on the konis and such is hard to overlook. i just told myself provided things dont gay out on me ill be straight for a while. there are plenty of happy tein owners and i didnt get enough feedback (if any) on the gc+shocks combo...

I don't know if almost 1g is worth it for something to only last 50k a lifetime warranty sounds much better to me. I mean really how different can it be its coilovers and struts and ground control and tokico both have pretty good reputations don't you think. Their both ride and height adjustable how bad can it be to get them seperate as opposed to all in one like the teins. I really wish some people with shocks and coilover setup would chime in

i'd almost say look in the 2nd gen tl suspension section. i had a thread going on in there with this same dilemma. my guess is this thread should be moved anyways

haha ive made my decision, no looking back now. those miles should last me a number of years so by that time ill deal with that then

only certain models work w/ edfc. the SS for TSX do not work w/ it, which is which neochaser made his comment. you can see it on tein's website which do and do not for SS

The combined Black Market posts can be confusing if the poster didn't mention the model of the car. The EDFC will work with certain models of TL with Tein SS but not the TSX.
