TL Headlights - Blacked Out, Cleared ('04-'06)

Up for sale is a set of blacked out and cleared 2004-2006 model headlights. I was originally going to use these for my car but decided to go in a different direction, so off they go.

The exterior of the headlights are simply sublime and as perfect as one could hope for. The chrome strip of the driver side has a small scratch on the inside of the housing, only noticeable at point blank range. As with most headlight sales, this does not include the ballast/bulbs, with the exception of the DRLs (included). Reseal was performed via reheat, clamp seal, and a secondary bead of marine sealant around the perimeter to ensure zero condensation.

PRICE IS $400, FIRM.

Shipping or pick-up is available contingent upon the buyers request. These are ready to be shipped as soon as payment is received. These are available in SJ, I will meet up with anyone close to Philly on the Jersey side or anywhere on 295-N/S along the span of exits 23-60 or outside of Trenton.

Need any more pics? Ask away!

Thanks for the info, just FYI the ballasts are bigger in the 2004-2005 headlights so these will only fit a 2006

Nope, not a single defect on the lens itself, the scratch is internal and remains localized to that strip only. In all actuality, you can only see it if you're within 18" or so of the headlights. I will take some more pics tonight of the lens.

OK, now, regarding getting this to work with an '04...from what I am being told, the ballasts are different, but even with that being said, I don't see ANY difference in the footprint/size of the ballast, so I cannot imagine why this would not work just fine.

Take a look at the following comparison, and let me know if you have any other questions...like I said, I cannot imagine why this would not fit.

2004-2005 TL BALLAST

2006-UP BALLAST

In what regard? Thickness? Footprint? Where did you get your dimensions from?

I'm not trying to be a dick, but I would like to know the specs to I can better inform any potential buyers of a possible retrofit need.

As you can see in the pics above, they really do not look any different (IMHO). Even if one were thicker, there is sufficient clearance in the front-end, and the ballast/chassis connection point is a flexible metal strip...

I read it in one of JNC's threads. I am not sure of the dimensions. Bump for a nice set of headlights

04-05 ballasts are indeed larger than 06-08 ballasts. As is, the 04-05 ballast will not fit into the ballast holding area on an 06-08 headlight. The ballast holding areas look the same, but the one on the 06-08 headlight is smaller.

That said, the smaller ballast holding area of an 06 headlight can easily be modified (cut with a Dremel) to accommodate the larger 04-05 ballast. I don't have pics, but I did this with the 06 lights I put on my 04. Once cut, 06-08 headlights can use any ballast from 04 to 08 without issue.
