SOLD! FS: PIAA 2100XT Fog Lights w/ HID Conversion

i had these mounted in my CL, they are in fine working order. there are obvious noticeable blemishes on the glass of the fogs, but this is expected and does not hamper the light ouput. these are PIAA 2100XT Fogs w/ H3 Kaixen HID Conversion 6000K. serious people only, i will help explain the steps of the install, but it is pretty straight forward. all necessary hardware and equipment is provided along with original Kaixen packaging w/ warranty information. also i ended up purchasing the 6000K kaixen HID headlight bulb replacements, and the match was perfect, you can get these from the vendor here Excelerate. pictures are shown with different headlight bulbs.

here is what i paid originally:
piaas: 200
kaixen: 300
plus my own time for custom work on the housings

price for everything: 300+s/h

this is virtually a plug and play fog light setup, very little work is needed on your part for install. HID kit is for H3 socket, i will sell the kit seperate but don't expect a huge price break because the piaas will then be useless to me. if you have cash in hand, i'm ready to talk, not looking for lowballers as this is a serious item involving custom work.

i would imagine the light output is excellent, but how is it really? does it throw wide and short or narrow and far, etc.?

short and wide. they are the fog version, not the driving. but w/ the HIDs in them they are extremely bright, could easily be considered driving lights. got a lot of compliments on them.

Probably a stupid question but can I replace the bulbs with the 3000k yellow foglight bulbs if I were to purchase this setup from you?

the bulbs are H3 based, im sure there is a way to swtich just the bulb but its more worth it to just buy the housings already fabricated for the HID kit, and get a kaixen 3,000K kit and install that one. let me know if you are interested in that, because i will have a much easier time selling the H3 HID kit than i will selling just the housings.

I'm interested. With the conversion, does it still lay out a good fog light pattern?

the pattern on the ground is virtually the same as with the regular halogen bulb. the only difference is that is it is much brighter and penetrates more. when they are on, and you look at them, you can tell they are really bright, but because of the fog light designed housing, you dont get that serious glare that you see in cars that have HID conversions in their headlights. remember its short and wide, so the main beam is directly in front, but the light scatters all over, its noticeable in a subtle way, example: i will be parked about 5 cars down from a stop sign, with the fogs off, i do not see the stop sign so clearly, but with the fogs on i can see it clear. apply this to highway settings as well. sounds kind of weird, hopefully that helps a little.

its relatively simple. the wiring is plug and play. you need to drill 2 holes per side to install the mounting brackets for the fog lights. and then just run the wires into the cabin. i will help out whoever buys it.

the installation for these really doesnt matter for 01 to 03, or for any car for that matter, as the wiring and everything is seperate from the car.
