O.E. Tuning Carbon Fiber Hood Group Buy

I am proud to present O.E. Tuning’s first group buy for carbon fiber hoods to A-CL! The hood will be made of 3K weave carbon fiber material but a special 6K SPN weave (we are the only manufacturer to offer this same material used by Spoon) will be offered as an optional upgrade. All hoods will have a complete glossy black, full understructure similar to that of the stock hood, be UV clear-coated and have dry carbon reinforced stock mounting points and aluminum latch. Please note that the use of hood pins is highly recommended for your own personal safety and these types of hoods are strictly for off-road use only. We are the manufacturer of this hood so you can participate and buy with confidence! So here are the details…

Hoods will be available for 2001+ CL/CL-S, 1999-00 TL, and 2002+ TL/TL-S.

Hoods are made to order straight from the factory and shipped to the states, so please make up your mind before participating. Deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE to protect everyone's interest.

Group buy will start now, be available for the entire month of April and end on April 28, 2003.

Pricing is as follows
- 1 to 10 hoods will be priced at $575 each
- 11 to 20 hoods will be priced at $560 each
- 20+ hoods will be priced at $545 each

making cf hoods requires a mold and these are not cheap to make. products are made based on a sales standpoint...so why make it if we don't think it can sell? i hope you understand. however, if you can gather 1 or 2 dozen buyers together then maybe something can happen!

and also what would happen to the windshield washer sprayers since they are attached to the hood? would you include it on the cf hood or are the stock ones transferrable?

cf is strong but not like metal and it is not advisable to use them. you might need to buy a honda hood prop. i think i have found something similar to the stock lifts...same location and design...and it just locks in place. once i find a place to buy it, i will check it out.

no problem with the questions, i want you all to be certain. the cf hoods will look exactly like stock so you can put the stock squirters and undercover back on...you basically need to drill the openings or ask that we do that for you when you place your order.

the 6k weave is obviously more dense and the pattern is more "neat" if you can picture it. i'll post some more pix of the weaves when i get the cl pix loaded.
