Navtool $175

Category: Audio/Video/Electronics
Price: $175
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part Fits (you may select multiples): ILX, ILX HYBRID, TLX 5G
Location (State/Prov/Terr): NJ
Item Condition: Used

Navtool unit for both the ILX and TLX because they share the same harness for the top monitor. No longer have the need for the Navtool. Fairly easy install. I use it to mirror my phone for full-size GPS on the top screen. Posted pictures so show how I’ve used it.

Looking for $175 pretty much firm on this one.

direct plug-n-play? I have a device that uses USB type C, do I need an extra harness for that?

Also were there two versions of NavTool at one point wasn't there, one for without factory navi and one with? I have factory navi

You have to tap into the power and ground. Someone else installed the Navtool and created a thread on the TLX section. Other than that it is plug and play and fairly easy to install. The units are pretty much the same in the back. I never get cars with nav cause I always use my phone for GPS, that’s actually what I used the Navtool for. I mirrored my phone screen with google maps and it looks factory OEM.

Oh and what device will you be using? You need an adapter for HDMI. that’s input source. I’ve used chromecast, Roku, Firetv, and Apple TV. All with HDMI

the google pixel only allows screen mirroring via wireless casting, so it looks Luis your only option would be to connect a chromcast which is a bit easier cause it can actually be powered by the navtool itself, no need to run additional wires for power.

No let’s make a deal and get you this unit ASAP so you can begin enjoying it!!

I'm thinking about it. Having Google Maps to mirror to my car would be awesome, but have one thing stopping me. I use satellite radio and if I were to cast to the chromecast while it's displaying on my screen, I'd lose any other source of audio.

no you wouldn’t. I actually don’t use sound on google maps, I keep it muted. Mirroring your screen is totally different then the audio piece of it. If you want Audio from the phone while routing sound then you’ll use the aux setting, but I use XM and the radio while screen mirroring all of the time.

Welp, I've tried for half an hour now and I cannot figure out how to cast my Pixel to my Chromecast in my TV without WiFi connection. Supposedly is possible but my phone just can't find the stupid Chromecast. I used Google's instructions and instructions from other reputable sites but nothing. If I can not get it to work in my TV then no way I'd be able to work in the car. I'll see if I can figure out later tonight after work but so far looking like I'll have to pass...

Yeah would be easiest, but I don't have a hotspot data plan from my provider and the app I formally used on a previous phone unfortunately doesn't work on my Pixel.
