This was the second remote from my '07 RL (the car came with two remote controls). I was the only driver of the car so this second remote was never used (I did check it the other day with my car to make sure it worked which it did, the battery is still good and the LED above the lock symbol lights up whenever a button is pressed). I have since traded in the car. This remote may require a trip to your Acura dealer to have it mated with your car. Still, with the dealer charging about $350 for a new key, before activation, purchasing this remote here is definitely a more economical solution.

* my car was an '07 and as far as I am aware the remote is the same for all of the current 2nd generation RLs. However, it is advisable that you double-check the fitment for your specific car.
