I think this looks even better if you are keeping the stock grill.

yes for 85 it replaces all the chrome pieces. you guys have to look into whether or not the bottom chrome trim is removeable or not. i do not know. if you order the euro R grill it does not come with that bottom piece and you would have to order it anyways. i will in no way assume any responsibility if the bottom trim doesnt come off the stock grill.

I havent looked at removing it, BUT i think the border (just inside the chrome trim) of the the grill is body color, so you would be putting black on the outside of that, not sure if you could tell on a CG.

I am in on the $45.00 hood trim in silver. Did you inquire about the Euro-R grill too. That would be badass...also in silver for me. At a minimum, the hood trim is good for now. How long are we looking at?

I'm still in on both pieces, no grill.

I'm waiting for someone to come up with euro R grill with the Acura logo. Now that would be sweet!

Yep that would definitely be sweet. I'd get one too if you could put the Acura logo on it.

I might be wrong, but the grill does not come with the Honda emblem attached. You can get an acura emblem and place it on there if need be. Again, I could be wrong, but I saw before that you have to put the emblem of Honda on if you want it.

The plastic is already molded for the H symbol though, so an A wouldn't fit from the factory and would look a bit awkward.

painted trim GB

ok as a tentative list this is what i have:

1) accsuperstar - CG
2) cmf - SSM
3) xizor - PWP
4) tonyfresh - NHB
5) ortiz - SSM
6) dalokster - CG
7) kangjin - CG

if i have left anyone out or put someone on the list incorrectly PLEASE LET ME KNOW BY POSTING.

if anyone wants the bottom trim piece as well, it would be an additional 40+shipping (on top of the hood trim). PLEASE POST ON THE THREAD IF YOU WANT THIS PIECE.

shipping on these items will take 5-6 weeks. either i can take the payments, or you can send them to poleposition. i will work that out with them. i will have them shipped to me, once i get the hood trim off to USPS i will go, and ship out the trim pieces to everyone.

Hey accsuperstar,

I'm in for both pieces CG hood trim and bottom trim...

Since they are special ordering these from Japan and it's gonna take them 5-6 weeks can you ask them to get the bottom trim in CG also, I rather get the matching color set...

Thanks for doing this... let me know what they say.

If they will do this, give me a total with shipping for the two pieces and just let me know when you want me to show you the money

Thanks man!

so the bottom trim replaces the stock chrome looking plastic? Is this an easy remove and replace, and will work with the Acura grill. If that is the case, then throw in one bottom trim piece with the hood trim piece please! Both in SSM!

For the bottom trim piece, I have no idea if it is easy to remove and replace. This piece usually is bought when you buy the euro R grill b/c that grill doesnt come with the bottom piece. If it will work with the ACURA grill I do not know for certain. However I do not see why it would not. I am waiting on the guy to respond on coloring for the bottom piece.

I thought that it only came in black but I could be wrong.

check out their site http://www.polepositionproducts.com/jdmhonda/cl7.htm

it says they only stock Nighthawk black painted bottom trim piece however other colors will have to be special ordered...

and since all the hood trim colors need to be special ordered, let's special order the bottom trim piece with the correct color.

if you want I'll email them... geez I wish they had a telephone number so I can just call them get the order placed and be done with it.

oh well.

if that bottom piece is compatible with the stock grill than i would also be in for a top and bottom. seeing how my TSX is NHB than that part of the equation is all set. now we just need to know whether it is compatible or not.

acc, so for both peices we are look at $45+$40=$85 + shipping, so somewhere in the neighborhood of $100?

also no to nit pick, but are we only saving $5 on the hood trim?

yes that is correct.

as for saving only 5, boomplus sells the trim piece for 54 + shipping. so that is a 9 dollar savings. it may not seem like much but its a pretty good percentage for a cheaper priced part.

I hit up PPP directly and asked about the bottom trim... and they told me they can get it in CG,

This is the price quote they gave me:

$50 USD for the CG hood trim
$45 USD for the CG bottom trim piece
$15 shipping cost

$110 total shipped to California will require 50% down since it is a special order and it will take 4-6 weeks for delivery.

Still waiting on their answer if the bottom trim piece will fit the TSX Grill

I don't mean to hijack this thread accsuperstar. I'm still in for the Group buy.

Who's trying to find out about fitting on the Acura grill, anyone, or do we still need to ask about that too. Not to bust chops, but the longer we wait to order, the longer it is taking. I want my hood trim.......

I'm waiting for their response about the bottom trim... check my previous post...

I don't want to hold up everyones GB for the hood trim so if need be I'll drop out because if I gonna wait for 4-6 weeks for the hood trim only, I might as well order the bottom trim at the same time with the right color and not wait an additional 4-6weeks for that bottom trim alone.

I'll wait on accsuperstar response first before I drop out to see what he has to say.

On my list of sneak ins:
- Coil overs (lowering it .5 inch every month till I have the desired height)
- OEM body kit (maybe she'll notice)
- Comptech sway bars and front strut tower brace
- CAI, but I think she'll notice the noise not the HP gains...

You my friend are sneaky, I'm loving that coilover plan. Sway bars are definately unnoticable to the untrained eye, but CAI is a dead give away.

I think it will work, I just have to very careful as how far I lower it, because the moment my wife scraps going up our drive way is when she's gonna drop a hammer on me... She knows what a lower car feels and looks like since she had her previous civic coupe lowered with NEUSPeed race springs.
