Arrow FS: pair of custom 6.5" sunvisor LCD screens

I'm selling my custom 6.4" sunvisor LCD screens, one for the driver's side and one for the passenger's side. These were made by StreetEffectz himself, though I feel like he didn't do a great job on the driver's side. The passenger's side is perfect, but the driver's is a little sloppy around the edges of the screen. I was pretty pissed about this since I paid him $1300. The pics below are what I have right now, I can take more if you'd like. I would like the buyer to send me their sunvisors so my car won't be without them. I have a black interior and my sunvisors are a gray color. Price is $450 + shipping if you send me your sunvisors. Contact me here: misc@n4te.com

Also I have a Playstation 2 and/or Dreamcast that I might be willing to sell.

Not sure exactly... maybe $150. Its the PS2 with cables, controller, and Grand Turismo 3. But I want to give the buyer of the screens first shot at it.

Damn, I have Parchment interior! How hard is the install on these visors? Can they be connected to a DVD player?

Install on the visors is one screw. You will have to run the wires to your video source, though you should be able to do that without taking apart the whole dash. The visors have 4 short wires coming out of them. Positive and negative for power, you need to run these to 12 volts. The other two are for video. Take a shielded RCA cable of your desired length and cut off one end. Connect the visor and you're good to go. You can connect it to a DVD player but there are two visors so if you want the same source on both you'll need a splitter. I think a splitter cable would work fine.

Basically to install the visors you take out the screw and unplug (for the vanity mirror light) the visor. Put the new visor in. Then you pop off the small black triangle near the side mirror. Pop off the A pillar cover. Fish the wires from the visor down the pillar, down the small hole on the side of the dash. They should be hanging somewhere in the fuse box area now. Grab them and pull them through. Now you can run the wires where you need just by putting them under the carpet. Your video source can be in the glove box, under a seat, in the trunk, etc. You can get 12 volts at the driver's side fuse box or center console, though you probably want to run it through a switch first. Here's a pic of which fuse box plug to use (this is an 01 TL)...

It's the one with the red connector and white wire going into the grey plastic fuse box.

I'm sure the forum and I can get you through any install problems you have. Sucks you don't have black interior though.

I had a guy hook up the VTEC controller and bondo the sunglasses holder. I painted it though. No, it isn't for sale. If I remove it, my car doesn't start.

C'mon someone buy these! I need to sell 'em. I'll let 'em go for $500 if you send me your sunvisors. :wow:

They are Santeca 6.4" monitors, installed in the stock visors by StreetEffectz.

The plan was to take it apart and mount the CD drive in the cupholder, but the drive's cables were found to be too short and not easily lengthend. I settled on putting it under the passenger seat. I've seen people put it in the glovebox, though I think that requires some modifications. I believe some people have put a DVD player in the rear armrest, they actually cut open the armrest and mounted it flush. Not sure how it was venilated. You could mount it in the hole where the rear armrest folds.
