FS: BlitzSafe Aux Input V.2X

Howdy

I have a BlitzSafe HON/AUX DMX V.2X for sale. To be clear, this is an axillary input and can be used to hook up just about any audio device. As far as I can tell, it is identical to the one shown here:

http://www.logjamelectronics.com/blitzhonauxdmxv2.html

I am also including a ~4ft adapter cable that converts the RCA plugs to a standard 3.5mm stereo jack. This means anything with a 3.5mm headphone jack or RCA outputs can be hooked up to it.

I had this in my new (to me) 2005 TSX with navigation and I could still access XM. I am selling it because I replaced it with an ipod integration kit.

I realize this is my first post (got my TSX two weeks ago) so I understand if you are hesitant. Coincidentally, my ebay username is also bigtimebooch. I have been an ebay member since January of 2000 and have sold many items. Only one neg feedback and that was when I was the buyer (go figure).

I am asking $50 dollars shipped.

Could you provide some pictures? I just put in a order last night but the place i'm ordering from has items in transit (they dont have in stock yet). I would like to see some pictures of the unit, and for my order I sent them a message asking the time frame I have to wait so if they respond back saying it might take a while I will cancel that order and pick up yours, but I would like to see some pictures

Ask and yee shall recieve

There's the unit...note the similarity to the link I provided in my first post.

This is what it says on the back of the unit. I imagine this one was made before the 07's were out since it makes no mention of them, so I would go by what the company says as far as compatibility (see the link in the first post). In other words, it only works with a few 2007 models.

There's the RCA to mini plug cable I am including...nothing special.

Those connectors are 14-pins in case you were wondering.

It is still available. I just pulled it out of my TSX on Thursday. I only used it once or twice since I have had the car (hooked up an ipod to it) and it worked fine. Keep in mind it's just an auxiliary input and you can't control the ipod from the steering wheel controls - which is why I replaced it. With the manual transmission, you only have so many free hands while driving.

It will show up as an external CD changer on the stereo.

Give me an email if you're still interested.

but it didn't give you no problems at all like when you tried to switch to to AUX, it would go straight there ? and not give you problems ?

Now that you mention it, my friend (previous/original owner of the car) said something to the extent of "sometimes it wont show up and you have to turn the car off and then back on to get the stereo to recognize it"
It didn't happen to me, but as I said, I have only used it about 3-4 times. Are these things known for having problems?

The unit basically works as a pass-through. You unplug the factory harness connected to the stereo in the center console. Plug the factory cable into the blitzsafe socket and the blitzsafe plug into the stereo (where the factory cable was). That's all there is to the install. Connect up the included RCA-minplug cable and route the cable to the glovebox or the storage bins in the center console...wherever you want to hook up your mp3 player (or whatever it may be). This should not take you more than an hour to do. I think it took me about 5 minutes to take it out.

It isn't very elegant and it apparently has its "quirks" but if you want to hook up an mp3 player to your car, this is probably the cheapest way to do it short of actually cutting some wires and splicing a cable in....
