was it ever installed? is it easy to install?

 

yes it was installed in my tl before i sold ot runs great you can put like 3 to 4 things in the converter on top of a dvd it the best piece on the market and 0 noise works flawless. i had it installed my pro's but its pretty straight forward. any questions feel free to ask

 

Do you have the OEM 20pin plug n play harness needed for the RCA to NAV connection or do you have to splice wires to get this in there? Where did you mount this in the car, how did you connect audio, and did you run a DVD player or car PC?

helpful bump for the sale. This is a great unit and at $150 it is a steal.

If it doesn't come with the plug-n-play ask AVELECTRONICS if you could buy one. This was a really easy install. I have 2 DVD players and a backup camera hooked up. Now adding a laptop to the mix for a carputer setup using the s-video.

is this unit specific to the TL or will it work on a RL also?

 

u could call and find out if it would fit the RL with there plug and play set up. im sure the unit is the same just would need there harness

 

I see two different ones on the ave website. The have the (Navigation video / camera interfece budget version) and the (Navigation video switcher system w/ tv tuner option). Which one is this?

Nothing is missing what ever came with it will come with the unit. This looks to plug and play i had professionally installed so they did all the prefab wiring appears.
