Serf, does the Nighthawk Black Pearl pen contain the blue sparkles like in the factory paint? I ask because I had a lot of trouble w/ my Acura dealer getting the paint to match on a respray.

Also..you have individual color auctions w/ free shipping. Should I bid on that or go directly through you?

 

yes, its has the blue sparkles, is is OEM Acura B-92P Nighthawk Black Pearl, the exact paint used on the car at the factory...would save me fees if you went directly throug me :-)

got them thanks serf! btw im guessing I have to wash the car first then how long should i let the paint dry for. Then how long should I let the clearcoat dry for. I dont want to put to much clearcoat on it do I? If I got a lot of small chips on my hood, should I just not touch them up, or should it blend in well?

 

in a nutshell, for scratches. apply tape around the scratch
to avoid excess paint. shake well, push tip on paper
or cardboard to get the paint flowing delicately apply
first coat. allow to dry for a couple hours (you dont want the paint smearing onto the clearcoat tip too much). then apply a coat
of clearcoat . it is best to do this on a warm-hot day ( paint wont dry properlyif its too cold)

same process for chips. I have a nighthawk black rsx, so the chips on the hood really show (look like white spots). i touched up the most major chips, and it looks alot better. theres no point in doing all the chips, just the obvious ones. touching them up not only makes it look better, but hels prevent rust! if there are any questions about application, please let me know

Serf...do you recommend multiple coats of color? or should we only do one before applying clear.

 

do one, that should be enough...let it dry, if it isnt enough, do another coat. if it is, apply clear coat (its important to leave the paint dry for 2-4 hours before applying clearcoat...make sure its completely dry)
