1996 Nissan Sentra GXE
5 speed manual
180k miles (mostly highway)
- key point, car is NOISY due to hole in exhaust/catalytic converter

Here's the deal.

The good-
45 mpg pure hwy
clutch replaced 35k miles ago
sparks/wires/distributor replaced 15k miles ago
front brake rotors and pads replaced 15k miles ago (a bit of sticking and squealing, did brakes myself for the first time)
Engine and transmission in excellent condition - never left me stranded
Perfect car for you to grab a bunch of friends that also wanna learn, to split the cost


The bad-
Usual dings/dents/rust (paint in poor condition)
AC not cold - needs recharge and leak fixed
cruise control not working
hole in catalytic converter, read: LOUD
couple of the tires need replacement
other minor things from wear/tear, interior trim falling apart, etc.


KBB quoted about $1855 for a 96 Sentra GXE 5 speed in fair condition (I adjusted for mileage and options, or lack of), which is not the condition it's in of course.
I called Nissan and because it's a CA emissions vehicle (universal replacements will not work apparently), they wanted $800 to replace the cat.
I've thought about going to a muffler shop to just get the hole patched and welded for a lot cheaper.
But since I moved to the city without a parking spot, I cannot juggle 2 cars so this one is the one going.
Also, my registration and insurance will be expiring end of this month so I thought I would get rid of it to save some $.

So.... $1800 - 800 = $1000.
After ATOT discount, $900 pick up or delivery to NYC metro.
Obviously sold AS-IS.
