FS: 3G Comptech S/C

i'm selling my s/c due to the fact that i have a torque converter that is goin bad and i dont want to shell out about $1750 to fix it..so i figured i'd get rid of the s/c...the charger was installed at 33638 miles and now i have 35066 miles so its relatively still new...i asked if they charger was the cause and the mechanic said most likely not...he believes that the torque converter was already on its way out..the car feels like nothing it wrong but the dyno graph shows otherwise...i was told that since the tq line is goin up in steps it shows that its slipping and i'm not making full power...so back to the point..i paid $3850 for it and i'm asking $3350...i also have the aem wide band air/fuel gauge and autometer boost vac. gauge that would also be for sale... i bought the snow performance stage one boost cooler this is brand new...so that will also be for sale...the buyer would be paying for shipping..wouldnt mind travelling about 75-100 miles to complete delivery and save you shippin cost..my email is tizistylezz@aol.com..if you chose to email put "regarding s/c" or something along those lines in the subject..thank you

my zip code is 11419

price break down

s/c $3350 less then 1500 miles
aem $325 (mounting holder + $15)
auto meter $45 (mounting holder + $15)
boost cooler $250

Dibs on the gauges, I might be able to meet up with you and buy on the spot? Where in queens are you? I used to live in queens, middle village!

Hey and good luck with the charger sale, too bad it didn't work out for you with the charger, I love mine and the torque converter is holding up fine, knock on wood! Mike told me about your problems with AT, too bad man!

Thanks
George

well the prices are kinda set cuz i dont wanna be losing too much money...everything was only on the car for a month and its in pristine condition...e-shift did the install..they charged $350 to install the charger..the gauges were about $150 to install both (not 100%) sure...their work is great.....i had some other work done at the same time i moved the battery to the trunk and i had a tensioner pulley changed...mike (owner of e-shift) asked me how much i would sell it for and i said like $3350..and he was like thats kinda low cuz for the milage i have on it...and especially since chargers are gonna be hard to come by...if i neg. the price i should juss kick myself...cuz the whole set up is prced at $4000 when i paid $3850 for the charger by itself...i kno u guys would like a deal but thats the best i can do without robbing myself to badly the entire set up ran me about $4650

Why Water/Methanol Injection?
The Boost Cooler® is Snow Performance's latest generation water/methanol injection system. The primary function of water/methanol injection is to provide "chemical intercooling".

In gasoline engines, as with any intercooler, this suppresses detonation so more power producing boost and timing can be utilized. Water, with its high latent heat of vaporization cools the intake charge and combustion. Methanol cools the charge and combustion but also acts like an extremely high octane fuel (some researchers claim as high as 120 octane) as well as adding more oxygen to combustion.

The gasoline Stage 1 Boost Cooler™ kit is available for forced induction applications that are either fuel injected or carbureted. Operation is very simple: the system starts injecting when the boost switch reaches the user-adjustable point and it injects a fixed amount of fluid through the nozzle until the switch opens again. This makes it a good choice for low to medium boost setups looking for an octane enhancement and cooler intake charge. Activation can also be set up through any other user-chosen switch, such as a full throttle switch, etc. Now with Lifetime Warranty - please see details.

this was taken from the product website www.snowperformance.net

I am still very interested, think i am selling my wheels next week.

Since Comptech is now back in business, is Acura of Escondido going to warranty this charger to a second owner?? Or is this going to be strictly no warranty whatsoever?

This is going to be the selling point..

Let me know

That's what I have read here. Comptech warranties the product, and it is non-transferable. This was under the old setup of their company, but it is probably still true.

Someone interested could check with Comptech for their latest policy.

I have not been able to get a hold of them, but the Acura dealer told me the same thing, one warranty one owner non transferrable.

This is still a great deal. There is one on EBAY right now curretly at $1790 reserve not met type in Comptech Supercharger some guy in CT

Good luck with the sale but i am going to wait for a new one with a warranty

thanks
