F/S Type S Heads with cams and rockers

I have a set a Heads of a 3.2 S motor with cams and rocker arms perfect for that cl or tl p, person that wants an Type S all that u would need is the intake. asking $500 o.bo.

How much of an HP boost would that give me, and would it need custom installation?

Type S Heads

Heads are direct bolt on u would gain increased compression if u have a no type S and change the cam duration probably about 240 - 250 hp if u get the Type S intake u would be the same.

Are all these parts things that I could put on myself? The only thing I've done myself was change my tail lights to the Red/White ones. Also, if I added these parts, would I still be able to add a new CAI and new headers? And if so, would I now have to buy the Type S versions? PLMK. Thanks!

Headers u could use the CAI would depend on if u are gonna buy a Type S intake if not the P intake will work fine. U can install urself as long as u time the motor right

I have to add that I made a cost mistake in my first forum 500 is heads and valves only cams and rockers would be 850 sorry for any confusion but these heads are worth way over 1000

briancl_RENAMED 01-15-2004 01:32 AM

would the redline change with these?

cltypesfloyd 01-16-2004 06:59 AM

no redline changes with ecu

Dolent 01-16-2004 08:53 AM

If you do this mod to a 99 wouldn't you have to change out the ECU?

unlemming 01-16-2004 09:19 AM

This has been brought up a couple times in 2nd Gen, usually people just say it would be cheaper to sell the TL and buy a TL-S. Basically, give your dealer/mechanic a call and see if it's feasible before jumping!

cltypesfloyd 01-17-2004 09:34 PM

you wouldn't have to change the ecu u just wouldn't get the same redline I have an Acura mechanic that will install the heads for 500 in NJ
