The CL/TL stereos appear identical but aren't swappable without modification. The TL radio has an internal amp, while the CL uses an external amp.

 

with the TL radio, does it have a tray on top or is it something different? i'm wondering b/c i bought a 6 disc changer from someone here and he said it was for a TL. it was from a NON-NAVI...it had a tray for coins, stuff, etc. does the NON-NAVI radio also have this tray or is it a CD holder tray?

 

The tray isn't present in NAVI models, only the non-navi.

CL radio wont work in TL like fast-tl said.

To put a 2002-2003 radio in a 99-01 TL, you need the stationary tray as well, unless you have NAVI.

There is no difference between the NAVI and NON-NAVI head units, you wont loose your voice. The difference is in the harness, not the radio.

And $200 + shipping is a DAMN GOOD PRICE.
