F&F Type 1 Coilovers

Category: Steering & Suspension
Price: $600
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part Fits (you may select multiples): TL 2G
Location (State/Prov/Terr): TX
Item Condition: Used

Form & Function Type 1 Coilovers. New.

These were purchased, installed, then removed. I felt they were too low for me (I know...) so I removed them the day after I installed them.

They have maybe 5 (five) miles on them!

Pics are here:
http://gallery.me.com/bnance63#100057

I'm asking $600.00 plus shipping.

The fit a 2g TL, or a 1998 - 2002 Accord.
https://f2autolife.3dcartstores.com/...E-TL_p_27.html

The are great coilovers, just not for me.

Hi thanks for the offer. I dont want it to sit very low either. Can you tell me, the coilover at its highest setting, how low does it sit compared to stock suspension ? U must have tried it ?

On a 2G TL, they are 1 finger gap all around.

For me I had a negative gap in the front and about zero gap on the rears. This was with the coilovers at their longest. I only had about 3/4" of thread left.

I have stock 16" rims running 215 tires.

I still have my Type 1s for sale, if anyone is interested.

This was my problem for wifes 05 accord. With our lip kit on they just sat too low. However they are height adjustable, and at max height we would still struggle getting in our driveway. So I sold them. I am talking w/ Preston over at function for a simple revision, and I will return to function type II's or II.5's

I talked to F&F as well. They were shocked to hear that I thought they were to low. They could make a longer bottom mount and that would do it. I would be good to more threads in the tube as well.

They did say that they were looking into it, but wouldn't give me a timeline as to when it was available.

Thats too low for the highest possible height. I need more flexibility for winter times here up north. I guess i have to scratch this one off. Besides Tein, any other setup you guys can suggest, i'd love to know. Teins are good but not in my budget. Anybody suggest ground controls over stock shocks ?

I ended up going with the Eibach Pro-Kit. Not as easy to install, but I really like it. The ride is similar to stock; just slightly harder. But, the handling is much better than stock. I now want to put new sway bars on it.

The drop is about 2" in front and 1.5 in the back. Just right for me. I'll try to post some pics soon.

Good luck!

Their website indicates a drop range of 0 to 3 inches.
http://www.ground-control-store.com/...p/II=515/CA=70
My shocks seems to be fine. If they dont ride to harsh on a 2" front 1.6" back drop, I would like to keep them. It will all depend on how much cash i can stack up. As for durability, do u have any concerns with GC? I have seen pics of members here with broken spring seats. I hope its not very common.
