Custom Racing upper & lower & vents grills order form (PICS)

Alright, I never thought I would take orders for the custom grills I made for my car, but since there are quite a demand for them, oh why not, for my fellow CL brothas

Ok, below are the pictures of the grill parts (lower & side vents w/ fogs) that I made for my car. I made the vents two separate pieces for each side to compliment my foglights. The design pattern and size are the same for all CL 01-03, for 01-02 if you dont like your foglights, you could take them out and put the vents grills there, the same with 03's. I make the grill mainly because I hate stuff from the street coming into the radiator space inside the bumper, leaves and other junks, plus it makes the car cleaner and meaner . I get the grills from grilltech, a company specialized in making high quality grills for different cars. Unfortunately they don't make the set for the CL.

Here is their quoted description of the grill product:
'Our grilles are made of tough carbon steel, powder coated for maximum durability in all driving conditions. The high-density rubber "U" gasket around the edge gives the grille a finished look while protecting your car's finish upon installation. Our grilles install within minutes. They protect your radiator, front mount intercooler and vital engine components while looking great. Our grilles don't require you to remove your front bumper or cut away any part of your vehicle.'

This is the top, lower and side vents as installed on my car (the type S emblem is not included):

No more radiator visible from outside, keep stuff from coming in to your radiator too

The grill kit set for lower center and vents, padded with rubber gasket for friendly installation.

Your choice of:
- Race style grill (black or silver)

- Diamond style grill (black or silver)

(sample grill pictures courtesy of grille-tech)

Grill parts choice: (includes shipping)
- Upper Grilll piece - $95
- Lower Center piece - $80
- 2 Side vents (w/o fogs 2 pieces) - $65
- 2 Side vents (w/fogs 4 pieces) - $75

(I get the grills precisely cut at an auto bodyshop, they charge high for their well known reputation in autobody work, also because the grill is a thick metal, nothing like the gutter guard type, so they're impossible to be cut nicely, they wasted at least 4 blades on each grill but they did magic on mine so I trust them.)

Let me know if interested, I'm gonna place the order soon, the process takes about 1-2 weeks. The grill is made of thick metal composite, prepainted black or silver.

As of now, order list is:

lou (lower center+ vents w/ fogs)
Loseit (top grill)
Fireball (top + lower center)
dbigjr (top + lower center)

50% of payment due at ordering and the other 50% due after the grills are finished, I will show pictures of the actual individual grills ordered before second payment. I'm placing a bulk order for the grills by the end of the week for next week shipment. Let me know

Have any daytime pics of your car? What do you guys think would look better on a silver car, the black or silver grills? BTW, I like your foglight setup, very nice.

I'll try to take some pics in the morning, because by the time i get back from work it's always dark. Black grills are always a safe bet, it goes nicely with any color of cars. But it's a matter of personal taste, I should let you know though with silver grills, the rubber gasket around the edges would be black, but they're not really visible.

Good point though, I think I'd have to go with black just for this reason. How would these be installed, since they aren't made specifically for the CL by grilltech....namely the upper grill and lower center piece?

Rod,

They just push into place, on the lower that is anyway. Correct me if I'm wrong. That is why they are priced the way they are, they are custom cut already.

That's right, they're custom-cut and repadded along the edges to fit right into our CL grill spaces, which installs in 10 mins. The grills are hold in place with tiny zip ties, which are practically invisible on black grills. Once they're zip tied, they'll withstand even the strongest storm.

For the upper grill, you don't use any zip ties or rubber gasket along the edges, it's installed the same way a lot of people have been installing their grills, it goes between the outer grill frame and the black inner housing. You'd have to take the housing off first. I'll make it so that it fits right into it nicely.

You can paypal the money to samconnect@hotmail.com or PM me if you're paying by money order.

50% of the payment due now and 50% later when the grill is finished and I send you an actual pic of what you're getting.
But if you prefer to send altogether in one payment that'll work with me too. Just put a note with your user ID in your payment.

All shipping costs are on me.

ST2000 - I can not tell clearly from your picture. Does the install of the upper grill require the removal of the stock inner grill and insignia? Thanks

For the upper grill, you'll have to take off the chrome parts including the 'A' symbol. The inner black housing stays because the new grill is gonna sit on it and the frame locks it in.

This is not a one time offer, I may think about doing this whenever i have the time. As long as there's demand, why not supply it, right?
Umm for the package deal, well I have received several payments already and it just wouldn't be fair to them if I gave out the discounts now. Besides, I'm already taking care of the shipping, it cost about at least $15 or more for those getting the complete set, cuz they're a long and big in size, packaging and shipping cost would certainly be more.

For the side vents, they zip-tie to the inner mounting pillars for the foglight housing, as you can see in this pic of my car before i put the vents grill on, you can see those ugly inner pillars.

I'm gonna post more daytime pics, well i took them this morning and it's snowing like hell.

NEW PICS of GRILLS

Alright, for you guys, I got up earlly in the morning got my car out and took pictures of the grills while it's cold and snowing
So here are the closeup pics of the grills.

Upper grill, pretend the emblems not there

Close up of upper, the grill frame is nicely even w/ the hood

Here's lower grilll

You can see the one of the zip ties there, not too visible but holds stronger than type of bondo in the world.

Example of Vents w/ small foglights, those who order vents without fogs wold be similar just without the middle gap.

The big picture, car not too clean anymore, damn stinkin snow.

NOTE:
Those of you who have not sent the first half of the payment have until thursday night to send it. Because I need to place the group order for the grill from the manufacturer by friday morning in order to make friday's shipment to me for early to mid next week arrival.

People confirmed in the first wave:
- fuzzy02CLS
- Fireball

So hurryyy!

Lou, course i haven't forgotten bout you.
But i thought you've actually gone with the HID fog set up, so you won't need my grill kit anymore. Those factory fogs look brigther than the low beams, are those real HIDs? So you got the cash flowing back in? hehe, I've put you down in the next group order, I'll just do like 10 orders at once to avoid confusion and faster delivery process.
